Hey brother I got a question so right now I got a 14 mustang I just bought everything was installed by ford from two owners ago cobra jet intake with mono blade stage 3 camshaft “we just found out when we got it tuned st palm beach dyno!” But it has a limiter race cats off road x pipe JLT cold air intake American racing long tube headers full length 3 in wide exhaust exedy stage 3 clutch MGW short shifter and 42 lb injectors for e85 the car made 484 whp and I wanted to ask what should I do or change next? I think you mentioned the McCleod RST clutch is really good and a 65mm twin jet throttle body? What mods should I try to focus on for my car since I bought it basically with every thing in it but I’m not sure about what to focus on next other than the only thing I did was give it a fresh tune to make it run better and faster and bought some 42 lb injectors for e85 while I was there and it jumped up to 484 whp. Also what super charger could fit the cobra jet? I’ve seen a few on KZbin but they’re not in detail and they say Paxton? I don’t know much about it but please let me know what other supporting mods I should do to either make the car run better faster etc??

@Alejandro Flores Has Mr Lund considered getting a Kenne Bell LC supercharger above the 4.2?
@Johnnycdrums6 жыл бұрын
Sleeving that engine seems like a hairy deal considering it's not sleeved from the factory, and plasma coated over bare aluminum. Did they sleeve over the plasma coated bore, and thus required a smaller dia. piston? Or did they rebore the cylinders to fit the new sleeving? I would be concerned with what remains of the "wall thickness" if they rebored it for sleeving so as to reuse the same piston diameter.
@YDBT4LIFE6 жыл бұрын
Lol... do you know how sleeving works? They over bore then sleeve then bore sleeved diameter to spec.

Nice blowers/numbers, but forget about beating turbos on the peak power numbers. The simple physics of the way both manifold compressor systems work means supercharging will always be less. Remember, you can get ~2600 HP out of a ~4 litre twin turbo Nissan V6 DOHC engine. So imagine the potential for the Ford Coyote and/or Voodoo DOHC ≥ 5 litre V8 platforms, if one sourced an aftermarket block; as Koenigsegg (and those racing the aforementioned Nissan V6’s) do. That said, you can achieve a very good HP and torque curve on the Ford Coyote and/or Voodoo DOHC V8 engines with a non-roots and/or new generation Eaton style supercharger that is ≥ 3 litres; plus there is no lag with the blower. More than 1000 HP should be enough for anyone.
