@@LundysWildcampBushcraft food for thought 💭. That large pouch over the three smaller ones on the back, where you store your water bottles and jet boil. Would be prime real estate for your waterproof gear as the wet weather kit is pliable and gives you wiggle room for the canteens and cook set. That’s my two Pence worth of suggestions. 🍺🫵🤟🍺

Just watched a review on a similar design smaller bergen. Same complaint about the pouches cant get into the bottom ones while the top is full.

@@LundysWildcampBushcraft the old shortback has seen better days. Time for an upgrade but 150ly ooh my poor back wouldn't take that any more I think I need to keep at 100 or so lol. I do belt kit so a shortback is the go for me. Being in Oz these bergens aren't retailed and it's watch and buy at risk lol. I've had a Sugpack and a Karrimor time to try a new brand I think lol. I did see one brand the pack and rocket pouches molle AND zip on. But tbh you'd lose the mesh kit pimp offer. However I'm thinking I'll buy those pouches separate. Maybe I can dual purpose them attach them to a molle belt 🤔 so many options. Either way I'm sure I can use another pack or 2 I only have 15 or 17 or something I lose track as I'm often trading one 🤭🤭

Interesting video to watch as I am considering a new bergen . I have seen just as I watched the video, it is currently on Amazon priced at £199 plus free delivery. Is there the option to attach the two side pouches onto a harness to make a smaller rucksack. Also one of my reasons for buying such a big for a lightweight kit , is that I have three smashed vertebrae around quarter way up the spine . So I was thinking of getting a big pack for big waistbelt and decent shoulder harness to take the weight of my waist , back and shoulders, as my NI PATROL pack is sitting on the knackered vertebrae and causing trouble for me. What would your thoughts on this be for such a sack . I won't be carrying much more than around 12 to 15 kilos at the very most , lighter if possible, plus I use poles as well if that is of any help to your thoughts . Many thanks in advance if could please give me any advice . ATVB , Big Andy.

Be honest with ya m8 that’s a bag of shit they can’t even get rid for £200, you can bu the beast from jay jays for £420 that colour and then you got a Bergen, that can’t be more than 500 denier from here and you can see it’s amateur just by the overall design, I bought a brand new plce and got all them mods done for £240 from dixies in short back and it’s the bollox the poncho pouch is set higher so you can open the 3 on bottom pouches then when you since the pack down they sit together so if you like the overall setup burn that and get one modded from dixies or jay jays I promise you you won’t want another pack, ok not the comfiest compared to a civvie pack but perfect for bushcraft/survival 👍sorry m8 forgot cus I know you got a plce but with the new straps(arms) and the mesh back pad it carries much better
