People that give a single lung. They live after the surgery unlike a double lung transplant right?

I fought IPF for over 8 years. When i was down to 30% capacity i started testing to see if i was well enough to be sick. I made the list the 2nd week in September 2022. September 29th i got the call they had a lung for me if in wanted it. 5am on the 30th they wheeled me into the OR. The plan was to do a heart bypass and left lung transplant. The surgery went well and after 5 weeks i was sent home. Getting the meds figured out was the biggest problem. I was making great progress and getting stronger. I lost 30+ lbs and a lot of that was muscle. The end of January i started not feeling so good. By Feb 2nd i was in the hospital with a 104 fever and Covid. Iv been sick many times in my 71 years but never anything like this. It was like getting hit in the face with a baseball bat and knocked in front of a moving bus. Spent 9 days in the hospital until they got the fever under control. Im home now and it's March 20th and i still have symptoms. They come and go but something is always going on. Like i said i was doing really well with walking, driving etc. Covid knocked me back to where i was in November. Be careful this covid is no joke especially when we don't have much of an immune system. More to it but this is long enough.
