Keep your motivation up Rob, having a shot go bad is a part of the hunt regardless of how much you prepare to take an ethical shot. Just keep a positive mentality and keep shooting your bow. I had a giant mule deer buck that I shot 2 years ago. 40 yards broadside, the arrow ricocheted off a rib and exited out the front of his chest. I searched for him all night and the rest of the next day. Ended up having to give up because i had to go back to work. Showed up the following weekend and low and behold there he was, same spot with just a little limp. These animals are extremely resilient and can survive a heck of a lot.

Some ideas for the direction of this channel could be keeping us updated on the farm and what’s going on there. Obviously the hun range just show us it from time to time, FISHING, a little bit more of your life. Like the camping the business side of it. More of a daily blog maybe???

Rob, stop using store bought ammo and load your own. Big animal like that 150-180 grain polymer or hollow tipped round or maybe a Barnes A frame bullet. You want the bullet to stay together, retaining at least 75-80 percent of the weight. I shoot a 7 Mag and shoot right on the shoulder. No fuss, muss or run, drops like a sack of potatoes.
