This style of mattress is expensive but if you use it as much as we do it’s worth it. We have something similar and love it. If you only do one night or a weekend it’s not as bad if you don’t sleep super well. On our last trip we were in our tent 13 nights and after long days of driving and exploring I’ll pay any price for a great mattress.

Right. For the first few years I took trips, I was just sleeping on the original crappy mattress that came with my RTT, but when I tried out this mattress, while pricey, it's super comfy and nice. Frees up more space because you can deflate it too.

(Request) to ATO would you be willing to do an update on your Radio that you installed 6-8 months ago wondering how its working out. I been looking at picking up a president George but really like how well yours is hidden. Thanks in advance!

Hey Chris, which video are you talking about? I'm guessing you mean the Eonon radio on the 2nd gen Frontier? I've had a few vehicles (and do still have the old Frontier) so just want to make sure I've got the right one, haha. Thanks for watching!

Ok, sorry, was my mistake. I got the cb mixed up with the rouge over land build your both trucks look similar. I guess the one you had installed was the gmrs radio. Sorry for the confusion😅 his was the compact midland cb it is hidden under the dash. Seems to me it would not be as strong as a normal cb radio. I am guessing at some point I may think about both types of radios.

@@chrisunderhill8853 No problem at all! Always happy to help! I love GMRS and won't go back to CB, but it still works for a lot of folks.

We have a Luno air mattress for my SUV, but honestly air mattresses aren’t really comfortable - they either have too much air or too little, and it depends so much on your weight. Their pillows however are AWESOME! I do much more prefer the Hest Foamy’s that we now use instead. I can see the foam/air combination would be better than just air and advantageous for RTT’s that are short on pack-down thickness accommodation, but can imagine it would be better than just foam.

Agreed on straight air mattresses. It's nice that you can adjust firmness by inflating or deflating, but just air feels bouncy and not the best. This one with the foam/air combo is super comfy and also has the benefit of being adjustable (and to your point, collapsible if you are tight on space in your RTT). I do really like my Hest and not having to air up or down is another benefit. I think you're right that the main benefit is that it's a great middle ground for people that can't fit a Hest but don't want a crappy $80 inflatable mattress that isn't comfy and pops the 3rd time you use it.

@@AllThingsOverlanding its great to have options. I like the way Luno incorporated the cover, which is similar to the Hest “welcome mat”, but stayed true to their car camping roots and also made it into essentially headboard storage.

Does it come with a divider to keep my wife on her side of the bed?

Ha! Well, it's pretty skinny so I think you'd each need your own, but then you could separate however works best, ;D.

You should disclose if you paid for this, or if it was given to you. The way your review sounds, it sounds like they gave it to you.
@AllThingsOverlanding5 ай бұрын
Yeah, it is disclosed at the very beginning of the video when the text pops up that says "includes paid promotion." Not that it really matters as I always do gear videos as feature based anyways. I can give my initial thoughts since I've used it 3 or 4 times, but I try to stay away from stuff like "you should go buy this thing" and focus more on "it meets these needs and has these pros and cons so if that sounds like something that works for your setup, it may be a good option." I'm the same as you where I hate the ones that get a thing and unbox it and say "this is the best XYZ around and you should go buy it" without even using it. I'm more sharing the gear with my audience and answering questions about dimensions, features, and showing it in action. At least that's my goal!
