Lupe fans: he's so deep and complex Lupe: "but it's also hmm like hmm"

So you proved the fans point, because of how layered the bar is, especially give nobody would have caught if not for this ig vid.

My favorite Lupe bar I'm it's gym and it's math and it's history The gunshots in the class And you can't pass if you missin G 1. You can't pass class if you not going 2. You can't pass class if you spelling your words wrong. Missing has a G at the end of it. It's not MISSIN it's MISSING. You spelled missin wrong G 3. You can't pass class if you missing the shots you're taking (afterwards he said I taught you better than that. I taught you aim for the head and hope he never come back) These bars were brilliant when I understood them

If anyone’s a fan of battle rap some of those emcees remind me of lupe the way they rap and have the wordplay and entendres ease by you. Usually takes me a few times to get what the hell they are saying and what they mean. Love the way he broke it down!
@weaponx1332 жыл бұрын
Faaaaaaactz! Daylyt, Rum , Twork Ored,, Iron Solomon perfect examples. Lupe could transition into B.R. and be good to... Ala Mickey and King Los, not like Can I bus and Joe Budden... Royce Crooked I and Cambatta could be successful at crossing over. 🔥🔫❌💪

He's not wrong about Aesop Rock. What he describes is exactly why I love his music so much. You can listen to those albums for years and still not get everything. I swear every time I go back to Labor Days, or Bazooka Tooth, or None Shall Pass, or Skelethon--fucking whatever--I always hear something new.

Battle Rap has a really good way of doing this, however this punch specifically needed more substance to catch. Like the "HM" bar here needed a bit more info from previous bars to deduce jungle from concrete jungle from ghetto, and monkey from little black boy. Like if the full bar was "Think we from the Jungle with the Monkeys and the Geckos, I'm Coolest Lil Black Boy in the Ghetto (HMM)" then it would be more of a complete puzzle with all identifiers.

I love Lupe. To 10 Artist of all time. But I hate when rappers do a punchline they know no one will ever get when the fans make you who you are. Why paint a picture no one gets tah see? Secret bars or punchlines are pointless. Atleast explain it in the rap.

Boogie def exemplifies this veery well. Hes witty.. street witty. With a ghetto and soul fusion haiku/poetic type of writing. Hes a minimalist with his writing. IDK HOW HE CAN DO THAT CONTINUOUSLY AND EXECUTE EACH TIME! .. another one that is say who is very hit or miss.. but when he hits hes on a roll is Big Sean.

Okay I gotta know, am I looking too deep into this Kick, Push line or is it really this crazy of a line: “Labeled a misfit, a bandit Ka-kun-ka-Kun-ka-kun, his neighbors couldn’t stand it” So all this time I’ve thought that yes the whole “ka kun” is the sound to the board but I also took this was a reference to Roots with Lupe saying “ka kun ka kun” like Kunta Kinte and his neighbors couldn’t “stand it” because Kunta Kinte got his foot cut off in the show. I literally haven’t seen ANYONE including Genius reference this line as a Roots reference so am I tripping?
