It's as much a training of the mind as well as creative technique/skill. You see him even call it out in his one line about messing up. It was a moment of fear that caught him up and he turned it into part of his freestyle. Quite impressive.

first started listening to Lupe back in '06 (6th grade). always been my favorite and always will be. no one is touching him lyrically. in fact i didn't even really listen to rap/hip hop because i didn't like the subject matter, but once i heard Lupe he totally changed my mind. i saw him live for the first time in 2009 and he let me rap a song with him on his Lasers tour. it was so dope and will always be one of my favorite memories.
