Haha, well, "best" is certainly opinion-based, but it is amazing. My absolute favorite Lupe song is still - and probably forever will be - "Theme Music to a Drive By", closely followed by "Lupe the Killer", the wordplay alone in those songs is simply mindblowing and I also love the musical composition on both.

Honestly man Lupe is the best to ever do it. When I think of Hip Hop as an art, it's something that people will debate and talk about what it means for a long time. Something like a picasso or da vinci painting. This is exactly what Lupe does...its honestly scary how nice this kid actually is...

Yeah, this is one of the many reasons why Lupe has been in my top 10 for the past 6 years. All of his mix tapes before F&L cemented him as one of my favorite rappers. His studio albums haven't let me down...even Lasers has a few jewels on it. This is one of his sickest songs when you break down the technical aspects of it.

Partly agree. For me, it feels like Lupe is trying to hard to be a symbol of . . . something - too much "Rage against the Machine" for his own good. Some of his songs are still incredibly strong, though, like ALL of his mixtape songs (download "Enemy of the State" and "Friend of the People" if you haven't yet, they are officially free) and also "ITAL (Roses)", "Audubon Ballroom" and "Braveheart".

what does tht exactly mean, to look at the letter "t" upside down? please furthur explain... I am very confused from this song, Lupe is mos def an amazing lyricist, his words are sheer poetry and can relate to all... His music can easily be considered inspirational and hit top of charts.

This song, IMO, is lupe at his best...He continues ONE rhyme scheme throughout a 4.5 minute song, while telling a thorough story. While being limpid in the message throughout the entire song...... In my honest opinion, This man and NaS are the greatest lyrical rappers of all time.

@KoldShadow I would imagine a talented MC and not a rapper would bless Madlib's track well. Check out the Beat Konducta series (instrumentals), Madvillain with MF DOOM, and what got me hooked was The Unseen by Quasimoto. He even did an album with Talib Kweli but I never listened to it. Lupe is a good artists ultimately. I do like his material although i did not at first; i was never into the skateboard shit.

This song is about the glory of black people in this country.About how our glory and sense of community and identity have been perverted by record labels and the media. He also talks about how to prepare yourself when presenting yourself to those in power, and also about the fact that there are no real black leaders in training and we still think back to the 'kings' Malcolm and Martin. but we've lost our way.

"The truth is limitless in it's range" a 1 sentence some up for this entire song. He dropped nothing but knowledge and made beautiful music with a universal meaning, thus, all the different interpretations. The truth applies to any and all things so its natural people connect the song to something they're familiar with, its still applies, there is no "correct" interpretation. FNF up, Hip-Hop ain't dead just yet.

1) Mom and dads money can buy equipment but it cant buy skill, sound or an ear for music. 2) I would assume then that you do not like Kanye West or Madlib, being that their introduction into music was not so humble 3) You can flip a sample a million ways. If you would like to disagree please explain: 'Don't Worry If There's a Hell Below We're All Gonna Go,' The Amen Break, anything by 'The Meters,' Lyn Collin's 'Think About It,' anything by James Brown.... Don't hate just because you cant create
