There is no reason for Venti to be the "weakest", nahida confirms that an archon's powers come from people's beleive in them. Venti is literally the jesus of monstald and is WORSIPPED. Meanwhile, with that logic Zhongli should be the weakest now since his people don't even think he is alive anymore...

Yeah, he has church and all, but people don't really have faith in him. It's stated by jean that several member of the church and the knights have no belief in the anemo archon at all. Morax never had this problem as he was never absent for a long period, no one thought his existence wasn't an evidence either. He will probably lose worshippers with time though.

@@killshotzx Doesn't guarantee faith long term, the majority of Mondstadters use windgliders (only work thanks to Barbatos) but the majority aren't fervent believer of Barbatos. With time and Liyue self sufficient Morax should become more an old mythological legend, no need for faith when you're self sufficient and you know the god is dead.

@@JagaDrawI feel a little insight into his current power is that among all the Archons we know of he’s the only one constantly exerting his Authority over Anemo over all of his land Mondstadt is always blessed by his winds and he’s always listening to prayers from anyone across Teyvat. People pray to Barbatos for safe travels and we get an explicit example of this in one event where he used his wind to guide a playwright/musician( I don’t remember exactly) from Fontaine to go to Liyue. He also guides all souls of Mondstadters back to Mondstadt as long as where they passed has wind. No other Archon as far as I know has such constant and widespread use of their power with the exception of Ei who does something similar by creating a constant storm around Inazuma early on but mind you Barbatos has been doing this since he became Archon and not just a year. Granted these aren’t the same feats as him slicing mountain ranges, or Zhongli creating mountains with spears or Ei slicing an island in half but it indicates he’s got a lot more power than he lets on

Even if that was case, how can we judge it recquire a lot of power and isn't draining him? Whatever the case, he couldn't maintain a calm weather during Mondstadt AQ. The musician wasn't praying for safe travel, he also only prayed because Barbatos has recently been more active. (Not a stretch to assume he is gathering more faith as the story unfold) People didn't believe the sign he received was real afterward though... the traveler did because they knew Venti. Safe travel come from that sailor girl. That said this doesn't mean people from all over the world are praying for safe travel to him, it would be more reliable if a book told us about this being a widespread custom. This also doesn't change the visibly inconsistent faith he receive from his own people. No other archons are in this situation where their cult organization doesn't all have belief in their god.

@@JagaDraw Mondstadt has a naturally cold climate regardless of Decarabian and Andrius, in his origin Barbatos has to guide warm monsoons toward Mondstadt to change its climate and if you know anything about weather that means he has to actively keep doing it otherwise it will return to its original cold state. The moment he stops means Mondstadt returns to its cold climate and we know it takes active effort for him to control the weather because he hadn’t gotten rid of the inclement weather for the east coast of Mondstadt but after one of Vind’s ancestor’s befriended Venti directly he expanded his gentle winds to that portion and is why Vinds family of storm watchers has never actually had to deal with a storm It’s an assumption, he’s utilizing his authority over Anemo to control the weather of the entire nation of Mondstadt so it’s not an unreasonable assumption that it takes lots of power. Raidens creation of a storm surrounding Inazuma and Scaramouche’s creation of lightning are both considered amazing feats of power but when it comes to Venti controlling the weather of his entire nation for millennia’s all of a sudden it’s a question of “how do we know that’s considered powerful?” Mondstadts AQ? The same one where the divine dragon Dvalin, the same dragon that was strong enough to end Durin(said to be powerful enough to end all of Mondstadt) with Venti’s help is actively causing said storm? Makes logical sense that Venti after just awakening and claiming he’s no longer as powerful wouldn’t be able to counteract that storm My point about Dvorak the musician is proof that Barbatos is always listening for prayers to him and this is further supported by the fact that all wind gliders require the user to give a prayer to Barbatos, then again by the fact that the prayers of the people suffering in Mondstadt under the aristocracy is what woke him up I’m not sure if you took my original comment to mean that Barbatos is just as strong as he used to be but to make it clear all I’m saying is that he’s nowhere near powerless the way he wants to portray himself, especially considering that as a wind spirit he can draw power from prayer anyway(the prayer of a few people gave him the power to defend against Decarabian and Andrius’s permanent blizzard so a church and every wind glider should give him ample power) so whether it be his Archon power or his wind spirit powers, he should have lots of power still. The biggest evidence for this is the fact that he still has his Anemo Authority, the Hydro Authority that Focalor gave back to Neuvillette is an incredible amount of pure elemental power so as long as Venti has that there’s no reason to assume he’s weak. Sure he’s weaker than before but he’s not weak by any means I’ll come back to add the portion about sailors and travelers praying to Barbatos for safe travel because it’s one of those one off lines in an item description and while I’ve managed to remember most of those one of lines about Barbatos I unfortunately forgot this one but once I find it I’ll edit it in seeing as I’ve already spent way too long typing this out

Just little bit info, it isn't just "moved to south" but "moved BACK to south" for Rex Lapis's people because his own territory was always the Shanhui Fort in the Mt. Tianheng. He sent his people to Guili (probably to learn about agriculture) according to the stone tablet in Soraya's treasure lost, treasure found WQ. Interestingly, Soraya said that even back then Guizhong people call Zhongli's people as "people of Liyue" means that Liyue existed even when Guili Assembly was still there

Informative, straight to the point, unbiased, and easy to understand. I just found yet another one of the YT videos summarising the history of archons and their nation in their best ways. The lore of Genshin is incredibly massive since many are interconnecting with one another through timelines. I appreciate your effort to gather all this information in the form of a video. There are some extra new stories from books and other snippets from recent patches of this year, but you perfectly make a summary of the major important bits. Every archon has an important role in their nation and Teyvat. And the two last originals are still shrouded in mystery regarding to the Khaenri'ah incident. And with every new info uncovered, there is an open for interpretations and new theories. Many often misunderstand the dialogues and their story arcs, so I am happy to see some clearance in this video 😂. Hopefully other lore enjoyers may come to see this. I'm starting to think a god's power is actually determined by their cosmic importance in Teyvat's hierarchy, and faith and rule are just two sides of that coin. Venti doesn't rule, and the people have faith in him, but because he doesn't show himself he's practically myth now, so they only believe the same way you believe in Santa. Zhongli doesn't rule over Liyue anymore, and the people do know that he legitimately exists, but given that he's dead to them, their faith will obviously start to wane Nahida never even had much dominion or faith to begin with, making her pretty weak in terms of strength Ei seems to be doing the best right now since she actively rules Inazuma and has a sizeable number of believers

venti is actually the strongest archon cause archons' power comes from their believers' trust to their archon. mondstadt people never ever doubt their archon once and love him endlessly. he even has a whole big ass church for him and has many believers only working for him. and hes the only archon that also has a huge statue in the middle for the city only for him. venti is just lying about being the weakest
