At the time that I wrote that I was pissed because I see dark skinned black women everyday that have to compete with light skin women. More people find lighter skin more appealing and prefer it over darker. I see black women that look her and no one seems to want them. Sure it could be because of other things also etc. To me she looks regular and nothing that is stunning about her. she is absolutely gorgeous. its funny, I saw her on Broadway and they did such a good job of making her look 12 it was almost ridiculous. they really didn't do much, she just looked like herself... maybe it was the atmosphere of the production. I would suggest to anyone planning on going to New York to go see Eclipsed if it's still there. its really simple, like not a bunch of props and what not, but its absolutely amazing and you get to learn something as well, plus you get to see Lupita in person, she is amazing.
