I can honestly relate. My family owns a jerky business and we sell hot sauce, including Da Bomb: Ground Zero. The amount of shows we've done...and the amount of people that insisted on trying the sauces, you see a lot of tears. Some people, it's mildly enjoyable, but most times you just feel so much pity.

My respect for her grew when she turned down a role for The Woman King, which glorified an African tribe known for trading slaves. But Hollywood praised it for being a girl boss movie with an all female cast. Lupita did her research and realized these people were nothing to admire. Gotta respect that.

Nah.. man, Lupita was shaking guys… as a host, Sean know how much it hurts, I think he just felt bad, because as some point he didn’t think she was going to make. So it’s type of hug you give your kid when they fall pretty bad.

Maybe I'm a prisoner of the moment but.... this feels like a Top 5 (no less than Top 10) all-time Hot Ones interview. The realness of her response to the sauces and her willingness to answer the questions all the while Sean continuing the interview with empathy but also hype for Lupita. Excellent interview!
