Good day Atty. Bajita! I learned about the composition of Lupong Tagapamayapa. Under LT Sec. 399, the lupon shall be constituted every three years in the manner provided by RA. 7160. Lupon or chairman consists of ten to twenty members. Also, I have learned that any person actually residing or working in the barangay can be appointed as a member of the Lupon, not otherwise expressly disqualified by law and finally, possessing integrity, impartiality, independence of mind, sense of fairness and Reputation for probity. Today I learned what is the composition of lupong tagapamayapa. under section 399 of katarungang pambarangay law, Pining Barangau, acts as Chairman and has ten(10) to twenty(20) members, appointed by Lupon. The lupon shall be constituted every three(3) years in the manner provided by RA 7169. Being appointed as member of Lupon, first must be residing or working in the barangay. The composition of Lupon is Punong Baranagay or Chairman and 10 to 20 members of it. And the Lupon shall be constituted every 3 years (term of chairman). And for the requirements to be appointed as a member of Lupon are; one, any person who is working or residing in the barangay. Two, any person who is not disqualified by the law. To be a member of the Lupon, I learned that one must serve or live in the barangay, be not excluded by statute, and have honesty, impartiality, mental freedom, a sense of justice, and a reputation for probity. The Lupon shall be established every three years in accordance with the provisions of RA 7160. In addition, I discovered Lupon's three newly-named members. This means that everyone who lives or works in the barangay is included. Otherwise, the statute clearly disqualifies you. In this episode I learned the composition of lupong tagapamayapapa which are the punong barangay as chairman together with his/her 10-20 members. As a general rule the qualifications to be appoint as member of the lupon are a person must be residing and working in barangay, not be disqualified by law, and also possess integrity and good moral behavior. Good day Atty. I learned the composition of Lupong Tagapamayapa. It consists of Punong Barangay which act as a chairman and she/he is the head of Barangay. Aside from Punong Barangay, it also have 10-20 members. Under RA 7160 the lupon shall be constituted every three years. I also learned the qualifications to be appointed as Barangay officials.
