Thanks for bringing back memories. We saw it about 40 years ago. Still beautiful. Again, thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for checking out my video. It is a neat place. I remember going as a kid and its changed a lot since then as the formations keep growing. The new self guided tour is great too, to move at your own pace and avoid crowds of other people.

Looks like an amazing cave! I wish more caves would go sefl guided like that. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching my friend. Yes its awesome and you should check it out if you get a chance. I really appreciated the self guided aspect of it. We could move at our own pace and avoid large groups of other people. They still had staff on hand to answer questions or to make sure nobody was messing around but we didn’t have to get any corny jokes haha! I wish all the commercial caves would go to this system.

Thanks so much, my friend! Yes this is an incredible cave. One of the best in my area. I remember going as a kid and a lot of the formations have changed and grown since then. Amazing!

That's so cool. Guided tours are nice, but you have to move at the prescribed pace, but sometimes it would be nice to linger in a spot. I Hope when things get back to "normal," there will still be an option for self-guided tours. Thank you for sharing your tour through the cave. It was spectacular!

Thanks so much for watching, my friend. Sorry for the delay in responding. I been kind of semi retired from YT. Yes its a really neat place. I hadnt been since I was a kid. Next time you’re up that way you should go again. I really liked how its self guided now.

@@SmellNRoses I have basically given up on my channel also, I accidentally deleted my last 30 videos and lost all of them on the channel. It was not gaining any interest any, some of my videos were crudely put together, etc. anyway. I am still keeping it and will post occasionally, but I have had another channel I started a few years back, that was started mainly as an unboxing and review channel. I may give that channel more focus and put up cleaner videos...maybe that one will interest some people...check it out if you like it's called Virginia Chris. kzbin.info/door/IdyxoJrVV4safImSzGvavw Take care my friend!

Beautiful, and spooky. lol. I used to live about an hours drive from luray caverns, in a town called culpeper. Never went to see the caverns. I live 20 minutes from smith mountain lake yet ive never been there either. lol. Take care and thanks for the video.

Thanks so much for watching! I’m very familiar with Culpeper, have spent a lot of time there. I too live kind of close to Smith Mountain. Personally don’t care much for the lake. Its a beautiful spot but the hoards of people, boats, and development keep me away.

I should post my footage from last fall when we were there. Definitely a cool place. Would be epic to explore the undeveloped parts of this system.

Thanks so much for watching my friend. Sorry for not responding sooner. I been kind of semi retired from YT. Yes you should share your footage. Its an awesome cave. I think the part we see is only scratching the surface though, it would be great to see some other areas. If you’re into that sort of thing, you might like Fountain Cave (I have a video). Its located on the same property as Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA. Grand Caverns is the typical show cave, but Fountain Cave is undeveloped, and they offer tours to small groups. It was a fun tour and I highly recommend it.
