i am so confused... when i lurch the second time i press everything the same as the first lurch but i just lose ALL of my momentum wth am i doing wrong?

probably mistiming/cluttering inputs, or trying to make to much of a big direction change, then not hitting the required velocity to slide

i try doing the d w a s then the a w d s movement back and forth but after like the first jump i lose all my momentum and just almost looks like im jumping in place
