Nice video mate! I've spent hundreds on braid and the only one I use now is Daiwa J-braid. Everyone has their preference but it never gives me any problems.

Another great video I think your channel is about to blow up, great fishing and well made videos. The best braid I've found for my spinfisher is sufix 832 which is very low diameter and not too spenny. They are quite fussy reels I've found as have had lots of wind knot problems with other braids like j braid and spiderwire. Interesting at the spiderwire works great on my slammer.
@abdul-hadidadkhah14592 жыл бұрын
832 is one of the most spenny braids out there, but it does last.

Hi, I've just found your channel and subbed. I've had nothing on the lures here in S E Cornwall this year. Hoping this year will be as good as 2019. Many Big bass landed. Great work BTW.

Always take your second spare spool with the braid on you trust the most, that way if you try a different braid and it fails you then it only takes a few seconds to change spool, this has saved my bacon when the bass are feeding hard, quick change and boom I'm back into the silver beauties.
@obanonthewater7796 Жыл бұрын
Yes this is great advice, it’s just a shame spare spools aren’t provided anymore. I often have two set ups in the boot.

try to close bail arm with hand, instead of just winding, that will stop you having wind knots.

just because you dont wanna get scales on your hands and dont like gar fish, shouldt mean you just chuck them on the rocks. Respect your catches not matter what it is.

Any chance of catching anything spinning the sandy beaches, or do you really have to rock hop to have a chance? I'm taking my kids down to Cornwall in August and don't think they would be safe on the rocks!

Well done on the fish. Might I suggest concealing your marks a bit better, no offence and that is a fairly well known stretch but it’ll only make the marks you and other locals fish busier.. Again, just a suggestion.. Tight lines..
@obanonthewater77964 жыл бұрын
Hm, I can understand your point to an extent but I haven't named the mark and I believe that if a watcher recognises the spot they probably already know it produces fish. When I started getting into my bass fishing at 16/17 I relied on info on KZbin and fb to learn about all aspects of fishing. Particularly bass fishing- seeing what lures are working and recognising some marks local to me. I understand the importance of protecting a mark from over fishing but this is a well known mark and if it helps a lad out who's just getting into the sport that recognises it and helps him to get into a fish then I'll be happy. This sport needs to encourage the younger gen into it otherwise it will loose momentum. Tight lines
@Karkawry19704 жыл бұрын
@@obanonthewater7796 As I said, just a suggestion. I've seen a lot of marks ruined by "well meaning" social media posts. They get busier and busier, there's plenty of info out there now without giving away a geographical location. Everyone wants it on a plate these days... Do the hard yards guys, learn your watercraft and you'll catch...
@obanonthewater77964 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the nature of filming a video solo makes it impossible to not show the landscape/coastline. I haven't named the spot in this video and never would any others.
@mvatoiband Жыл бұрын
@@obanonthewater7796 I agreed with you, I don't see the point of hiding, if you do not want to people to know where you fish then don't post. Next Monday is my first time for a visit to Cornwall and I have been searching around for good marks to fish and of course I would be delighted to catch a bass there. The point is that the trip to Cornwall would cost me hundreds of pounds so if I go there for a bass to take home then I am better off to buy from my local seafood shop, it is many many times cheaper, the main point is we feel proud when we catch one. I hope people less selfish.
@Beng12952 Жыл бұрын
@@Karkawry1970An easier way to solve this problem is to not post anything on the internet, which I’m sure your ego would find easier to cope with. I don’t think many viewers would enjoy seeing the screen filled with a featureless sea or a blurred background. May aswell fish from your sofa and green-screen yourself onto a sea background? No one’s getting anything handed to them on a plate, just because people might know where to fish doesn’t mean they know how or when and who says anyone has to earn anything anyway - it’s not a competition. Hard yards? What a load of bravado bullshit. The few rules we do have are sufficient without people plucking more out of their arse and claiming their territory as if owning a rod equals owning a stretch of sea. It’s always delusional snobs like you that give any hobby or sport a bad name, but thankfully I never seem to hear these idiotic opinions out on the water…
