I subscribed to your channel a few months ago and love it, although this is my first post. I love fishing around the Swansea and Gower area in spite of having a total recent knee replacement recently. Watching all of your videos really helped my recovery and pushed me to get out there ASAP. Keep up the good work Nathan because i really appreciate all of the effort you put into your videos and everything you do. From Gareth, an avid subsriber from Swansea.

Was just thinking when you were gonna upload and checked my subscriptions and saw a video :) Just wanted to say thank you for helping me with all your videos through rough times and getting me into lure fishing, started it properly last august for a few mackerel and decided this year to target more species (bass, big pollack, cod etc). Caught a PB 6lb pollack from watching your video on fishing with soft plastics and how to move the jig along the sea floor. Again thanks a lot for the videos you make, I and all your subscribers love them. Maybe a lure fishing for bass video soon if I'm allowed to be cheeky... ;)

It really depends on your budget and the type of lure fishing you want to do but generally speaking a 5 to 35g casting range, 8ft rod, something like a Savage Gear Bushwacker, is a good start. And match that up with a 2500 to 3000 sized reel, maybe a Penn Pursuit or Daiwa BG.

Hi Mr Slippy.😉 Being a shore angler, I quite fancy having a go at LRF. I'm from Whitley Bay and wonder why you travel so far? are there no local marks around Whitley/Tynemouth etc? also what lures would you recommend? Great vid as always
@SlippyLimpets
@SlippyLimpets 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, There are a few good places around locally but the problem is finding deep water without a load of kelp at you feet, you'll know from shore angling it's not great when fishing with light gear. You just end up snagged all the time and loose jigs and fish. I also really like fishing in remote places so don't mind the travel part of it. LRF lure wise, you can't go wrong with Berkley Gulp Worms and Isome's, they can be lethal for mini & baby fish. Also small curly tail grubs and a light metal jig can give you the extra distance to get past the kelp. Hope this helps

@@petercrann2442 some great action for pollack, coley, mackerel, wrasse off Filey Brigg. Haven’t tried it, but you can get Bass from Flamborough South Landing. Had some good Bass as the tide floods over the scars at Kettleness in the evenings. Like with all fishing though, sometimes you can fish Kettleness, everything is perfect and there is nothing there 🤷‍♂️. Don’t think I will annoy anyone with those bits of advice, they are pretty well reported in forums and best mark books. Good luck 🤞🏻

Lovely day for fishing, excellent video, your like one of those Ibex climbing the dams, ho ho. Must of been last week, the weather man has forgotten again, ITS SUMMER TIME, ho ho. Great to know that you, CAN, shore fish, St Abbs, I guess you cannot believe everything N.T. write, silly really. Unfortunately, I'm a little circumferencely enhanced, to purchase a hoody, some of us need a couple more xx's ho ho. Hope you located a spool adj. cap, for your multiplier reel, you probably lost the tiny disc washer, that is underneath as well, when you were on the kayak. Stay safe

The weather seems to go from one extreme to the other at the moment. I'll feed the size thing back to my merch suppliers, I'd like to cover all sizes. I'm still hunting the part, gave found one on ebay but it's from the states and postage is 18 quid, might have to bite the bullet though. Tight Lines👍🎣
