Thank you! It’s just a geared motor I fastened to the lid.

These are very nice! Besides the durability and the beauty I especially like your positioning of the tie on eye and the bill. You got nice action and it leaves the head highlighted. Slick

Nice work I really like them. I been a wood worker all my life but never got into lure building, I just started a few weeks a go and so far its not going to good but I think it will get better in time I make everything by hand so far but I still need a air brush and lots of lure parts.
@Builtin792 жыл бұрын
I still make lures that don’t work as planned but I think that just helps improve your designs. For the airbrush I just bought the cheap kind to start off and it’s still going. Thanks for the support!

They look amazing! Can I ask what you are dipping them in after every new paint design?
@Builtin79 Жыл бұрын
Polyurethane in between paint and UV resin for the finish.
@fishnmetal43832 жыл бұрын
what was the clear coat you were dipping them in. new to lure making been fishing my whole life. carved my first bass popper and it worked so I'm hooked. thanks new subscriber

Glad to hear that you’re joining the Hobby. It’s pretty gratifying when you get a lure you make to work. The clearcoat I was dipping the lures in is polyurethane, I use it to seal the wood and in between layers of paint. Thanks for the support!

Very nice action and painting scheme. How much weight is put in the lure? 20gr or even more?
@Builtin792 жыл бұрын
These lures started at 16.4 grams and the final weight is 31.1 grams without hooks. Total weight added was 14.7 grams, so you were very close! Thanks for the question👍

How much do you charge to make custom lures? Would definitely like to get a few from you
@Builtin79 Жыл бұрын
I really appreciate that you would consider buying one of my lures! I’ll be honest, never tried to sell one before. Fairly new to the craft, so I would like to develop my skills a bit further before considering selling any. Most of my lures I have given to family and friends. I get awesome feedback which leads to improvements. Plus there’s no buyers regret when they’re free. 😂 Thanks for the support.

@Builtin79 if you decided to. I would like to buy 8 from you unpainted. I have a lot of different color mixtures I want to try...just have not got the cutting part learned yet

What kind of wood were those made from? TIA You have some lucky friends
@Builtin792 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, these are made from pine.
@scottb47672 жыл бұрын
@@Builtin79 I thought so, thanks for the answer. You made it look easy!
@Builtin792 жыл бұрын
I find pine harder to carve details so I just airbrushed everything.
