Thank you so much "Lurgs How To Guides" After listening to your video I tried a couple of things, including unplugging it & trying again, with no results. I then tried a credit card in various positions, via a few angles & heard the door click!! 🤩🤩 It was jammed somehow from inside. I have noone to blame but myself for this situation. The machine has been banging away for a few weeks & I haven't asked a repair man to come out. 😢 I'm Guilty of being a BAD Washing machine Mum!! 😖 Anyone in this situation who thinks it'll be Okay, just leave it, please DON'T!! 🙏 You'll regret it!!

Brilliant ! Explains what to do so clearly and shows you , after watching I opened my round plate at bottom of machine and could see the green plastic pull cord , I put the end of a screwdriver through the opening and gently pulled down once , then pulled door handle and it opened up no trouble at all ! So relieved, many thanks for your video 👍👍👍😀😀

I found out that one of the pipes close to the door is leaking .. I would like to replace it but from the back side I am not able to fix replace the pipe .. any work around to fix this with minimal effort? The Machine is Bosch

We need help. Can't get our GE open. We drained it, we have unplugged and plugged back in many times. We unplugged overnight and still won't open. We do not see a manual release tab or anything to open door. Childlock is off. The Word door is running across display. Can you help us. My clothes have been in there for 2 days now. Ugh.

@jacovanrensburg2207 my husband took the front control panel off and the top of the machine and reached in from the top and pushed a release button and unlocked the door. Our machine is not even 3 years old and already needs a new door lock. The manual was no help at all. Calling GE directly was no help either. Through many videos and trials and errors discovered how to run diagnostics. We also found a book/paper under the inside of the top of the machine taped to the top of the dispenser that had codes and trouble shooting. I don't understand why they make these machines so complicated to work on. My husband will replace the lock we bought for less than $50. If he didn't know how to do this it would cost at the very least, $350.00 to get someone to fix it. It's ridiculous and frustrating. Everyone needs to be a computer tech these days. Maybe my comment will help someone else.
