He suggested that strategy so that he could use "the thing" to save Sykunno and it actually worked since they thought that the plan had no flaws. It did and that has been proven when Lud opened the door for the first time - although it was a good plan. Also, again, no one took note of Lud's position. Your comment was implying that this was not that great of a big brain play whereas there have been multiple people standing there. Absolutely no one pointed that out. Even Toast fell for it. Dream did sus Sykunno earlier already and he also told people that his accusation is based on him overhearing his conversation with another one. So, everyone knew about this. That was the reason for everyone to check whether he was the impostor or not. Sykunno and Toast had all the attention which is why no one noticed Lud being right next to the door. That is why this was an impressive feat.

Toast then cleared Lud for opening the door, Courage still barely paying attention didn't speak up and said "I did it" because he didn't know why he did it, he just heard "open the door" and did it. Toast thought his plan was so smart it couldn't have a flaw and didn't pay any attention to the other people around him not actually paying attention to the conversation and interacting with the door, and Toast just tunnel vision'd on the person he was telling to do things and as long as they did what he said he thought his plan was flawless that it couldn't of been wrong, but he was only paying attention to that 1 person he was talking to and didn't notice that other people were in range and actually opened the door each time instead of the person he was asking to. tl;dr Tunnel Vision and being overly confident.

Omg you're right. I was so confused at Toast being red during a meeting but thought it's because he always plays cyan. Also, I watched pretty much that whole stream from Corpse's perspective and that stream was just full of glitches, including the fact that during this particular game Corpse's votes did in fact show as Dream's for him. You can't see it here though lol. Anyway, that was probably one of the three best games that night, alongside with Corpse and I think Dream killing everyone within one or two rounds, and the one where Corpse was the imposter and Toast and Sykkuno voted out the wrong person. Corpse's "Wait, you guys actually killed him?!" and Toast's panic at his words and then when the ejection was confirmed wrong and Corpse chased him down corridors were probably 3 best games I've seen for a while lol.

Tbh, I think it would've been a very good play by Toast because the strat is very smart but Toast should've seen the obvious that for both times another person was there to open the door. I'm glad that Dream used common sense though and Courage is to be blamed as well.

It's a bug. Using proximity chat on among us creates a lot of bug in the game. Like for corpse, his game bug because it shows whatever dream did in the game (reporting Rae's death body, voting first) as if corpse was the one who did it. In some games also for some of them toast and sykkuno were both red in the game but in the meeting they were cyan and green.
