A traveling circus came to my town a few years ago. A man came to the workshop where I worked and wanted help welding something on a carousel. I went with him to the place where they set up the show and got to see what he wanted help with. It's the worst thing I've ever seen, lots of rusty bits of steel plate on top of each other and patched together with bad welding. Surprised the carousel didn't snap. I explained to him that I had to have large new sheets of steel cut and replace large parts of the arm that held the entire carousel where people sit in order for it to be good. He got mad and wanted me to do it as cheaply as possible and just weld it together so it worked. I refused because I didn't want to be responsible for a major accident. He got really angry but I said no. That's why I NEVER use traveling circuses again

The snakes being carried were all constrictors and naturally have no fangs. Defanging Vipers often lead to death as they usually stop eating. With pythons and boas, as long as you handle them correctly from a baby they are pretty chill. Especially Ball Pythons which can still get up to 4-6 feet. They make great pets because they like to cuddle with your body heat. It probably didn't like the belt loop.

My best friend growing up, before he passed carried his ball python around his neck EVERYWHERE he went. Sometimes people would notice at the store and lose their minds. Many poor souls would have a meltdowm. Like full-blown panic attack. It was actually quite mean of him, but he didn't do it to be mean. Basically, he called it his emotional support animal before that was a big "thing." I miss him always!! But smile whenever I hear or see someone with or talking about snakes especially ball pythons. Best wishes to you and yours!

To the point of apartment buildings without elevators, I live in Paris and I can confirm that certain buildings are “grandfathered in” because of historical precedent. It is not possible to make a lot of buildings accessible because of the structure. So it’s very common to have to walk up 5-9 flights of stairs here. A PSA for American tourists- if they don’t specifically highlight elevator access, you’ll be walking up flights of stairs. 😂

Hey guys, my own missus loves this simple potato leek soup recipe. 2 tbsp unsalted butter 1 sweet onion peeled and diced 3 leeks use the white part only, diced and washed well 1 clove garlic mashed 4 Yukon Gold potato peeled and diced 1 quart chicken stock or water sea salt and black pepper to taste 1 cup heavy cream optional Instructions In a large Dutch oven over low heat, melt the butter. Add the onion, leeks, and garlic and cook covered until the vegetables are soft, about 5 to 10 minutes. Add the potatoes and stock, then bring to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer covered for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are very soft. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add cream if you want it richer. A stick blender will smooth things out. I've separately diced and boiled a couple red potatoes and added them after blending for additional texture.
