When I was in 6th grade one of the last 8 native lushootseed speakers came to my school and told us a fable in Lushootseed and it was seriously one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. So sad to see the language have no native speakers anymore, but so happy to see it still lives on, kinda like Latin.

I luv your language, some of our words are spoken with the throat sound like you. The spelling letters look.al.ost the same.

the Puyallup tribe has classes for Twulshootseed (Lushootseed). I've been thinking about taking them :) I also know some universities in the Seattle area have Lushootseed classes
