Had the exceptionalist priviledge of meeting Mr. Vandross, and his Beautiful Mother in the early 80's NYC. I was and still am Star Struck just remembering the experience. He was so absolutely BEAUTIFUL and HANDSOME. Thought I was Dreaming, surreal. Thank God I have this brief Memory. I will treasure it always. We miss you LUTHER something awful!!!! 💔💔💔💔

It hurts me, it hurts me and it hurts me to remember and accept that he has died. After Ella Fitzgerald, Luther was and will be the voice with the most subtle, versatile register that like a waterfall, he could go up and down as many times as he wanted, and the best: With the most exact tuning. Jehovah God takes you in his perfect memory so that you return to this same planet Luther!, when they rise alive and dead.

I remember my first Luther Vandross concert at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. I was hooked. Every year when he would perform in Philadelphia I got closer and closer to the stage. The last concert at the Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) we were 10 rows from the stage. Sinbad and Sounds Of Blackness opened for him. He always gave 1000% of himself at each and every show. The day he died I was home recovering from surgery. I screamed, then sobbed uncontrollably.😢 His voice is truly missed. From backup singer for David Bowie and Chaka Khan to SUPERSTAR. ❤️❤️❤️

He was a super sweet man. My brother, now a Deputy Sheriff, used to be the head of security for a major downtown Boston, MA hotel. When Luther stayed there, he wanted to go 'window shopping' down the street. My brother took it upon himself to be his bodyguard. Apparently he did not have one at that time? Anyway, my brother said he was one of the nicest people he has ever met! Gone way too soon, and he is leading the Angel's Choir xx ❤🙏❤

I’m pleased you have Luther’s Concert on DVD and that you are still enjoying it today and btw I have both of his concerts on DVDs was well. I was lucky enough to see him live at Wembley Arena in London in the middle 80s and it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen too. Anyway stay blessed and look after yourself 😊

He died when I was 3 years old, and you know what? My dad made me the woman I am today with this kind of music, it heals me . People who got to be in his concerts are so blessed. How mature are these concert? Now you go to a concert to listen to a different version of a song and a lot of annoying sing alongs 🤣. This is EXCEPTIONAL 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I love music. I listen to it every day. So I will know a group name, a song and in all likelihood I will know how it goes.I will know the beat as well❤. This song though ,,,,, Killing me softly with his Words,, is one of the most difficult songs to sing. 🎉 So Luther if he is singing this song,,,, which no one even attempts to sing as The Incredible voice of Roberta Flack It's just too hard to replicate. It's soft. It's tender. I don't know with the slow tune, the tempo. Singing at, all these things that need to be in that song to really feel Feel it. Then to contain it and get those words out and suprisingly Luther does it!! While he's doing this song I can only say Bravo🎉 a job well done as few even attempt to sing this particular. Love ballad. Great concert! Thanks for sharing❤ 25:13
