Thanks for posting this! Marvin recognized the skills and let Luther know that he was now part of this exclusive club... God bless them both. Two of my all-time favorite vocalists.

Rare gem but that bit about the " choir in heaven one day " is heart-breaking. what the hell was the asian interviewer thinking SMH?

Angel Johnson Their careers hardly overlap maybe a year or 2 at best..... to put it in prospective marvin sang professionally from 61 - 83 constantly reinventing himself , surviving all the trends , living during some of the most turbulent times in american history. singing duwop with the moonglows , gospel at his church as a child , broadway at motown , pop records also at motown , r&b hits even jazz standards he could do it all and he did on top of being a musician himself and possibly a better songwriter then a singer if you could imagine..... luther is wonderful one of a kind but in keeping honest to the music as a artist and this isn't a knock on luther in any way but marvin is by far the better talent..

@Clayton Phillips That's subjective. No need to compare two legends.

@Clayton Phillips I could say that Marvin was a better singer and many others can and really believe it? You have an opinion and that's fine.
