Angel Johnson Their careers hardly overlap maybe a year or 2 at best..... to put it in prospective marvin sang professionally from 61 - 83 constantly reinventing himself , surviving all the trends , living during some of the most turbulent times in american history. singing duwop with the moonglows , gospel at his church as a child , broadway at motown , pop records also at motown , r&b hits even jazz standards he could do it all and he did on top of being a musician himself and possibly a better songwriter then a singer if you could imagine..... luther is wonderful one of a kind but in keeping honest to the music as a artist and this isn't a knock on luther in any way but marvin is by far the better talent..
