The development needs to be fully supported by the council, National Grid & the local community. It's a proven fact that wherever a new stadium has been built, there is a significant uplift to the local economy. I'm hoping to see it before I fall of the perch!

Can only imagine objections from people to do with the river. Don't see why anyone wouldn't want a new stadium and the growth it'll bring. It's happening no doubt with changes but it's finally coming.

Nice upload Deggs... Whether we survive this season as a PL Club is a separate issue and of course we all are praying to stay where we currently are.. Long term the New Stadium is Vital and I'm glad and happy that the Club feels comfortable with increasing the capacity of the new stadium.. I believe a 20,000 Capacity would be a sell out every home game, I for one would be itching to get a Season ticket.. I think the Club could sell out at 25,000 but let's keep it real for now and I have total faith that the Club knows all this.. COYH

Hopefully the plans may enable the 23,500 to be minimum build and expand from there! We want to sell it out each week not have seats left! Especially lookin at club down the road!

@@deggyuksports I know the Club don't want empty seats and that's very much part of the planning. The Club is now in a good place and upwards of 20,000 will attend the home games no matter what division we are in. I followed through thick and then during the 80's and early 90's and some of it was DIRE... As long as the fans believe in the owners then the Club will move forward..

I was referring to Liverpools upgrade they did in the summer and how the first few games was played with less seats etc as the company went bust :)

This year has been Newcastle or Liverpool for atmosphere wise. Result and enjoyment probably Goodison park on both occasions!

Overall I would probably say Nuneaton when we won 5-0 and took over their stadium or Walsall away 2-2 Lua Lua last minute equaliser and the players diving into crowd and hugging them!

The time,and work involved to get the new ground is shocking.Ive seen from Gary Sweets latest information,that it will be season 2027,at the earliest.But more likely as he states season 2028. Will it ever happen who knows. I have been supporting the football club since,1964,when I was a nipper.I will be lucky to see it happen in my lifetime,at this rate of movement.Very sad.

We made it to the premier league. Our 120 year old stadium we currently in has once again reached the top of the leagues and we have gone from 15 million turn over to 200 million this year. Think that’s enough to say we earned it 👍
