Great commentary. Yea, the battle over anamorphic lenses is pretty fun to watch. The SIRUI anamorphic lens I had was used on one of my more popular videos. Go figure. There are a lot of anamorphic lenses to choose from. The differences are mainly in the optical characteristics between the lens brands. Choose the brand that suits the look you want. Pretty simple. Thanks for recommending the LUTs. They look fantastic. Cheers.

Yes. It’s really a matter of taste at the end of the day. :-) People get caught up in the specs, and that keeps them from doing any actual work. :-) And those luts are awesome. 🙏😉

Someone told me about Killers of the flower moon so I will watch it now that you confirmed it’s great! Super 35, full frame or any other format it’s just a preference it won’t affect how good or bad a film might be. I know you’ll kill it! Thanks for the shoutout Rock you Rock!🤘🏾

Thank you, man, I'm excited for being committed to more extended work and all that's gonna come with it. And yes to format doesn't matter. Just get your lenses in order and you're straight. And that movie? Three and a half hours of amazing filmmaking and American history. Heart ripped out of my chest. You'll be inspired to get out there and make some magic like you always do!

Killers of the flower moon is why none of my tshirts have sleeves, that movie was brutal. Good stuff man

Thanks so much, and I totally get it. A brutal story of yet another example of some real history that nobody wants to talk about. I’m sure exactly why that film was made.

Forgive me for talking gear again 😅 but if you like that mustard yellow vs navy blue contrast, the GH7 tends towards that. I actually preferred the GH6 color science. I think there was a more prevalent green/red contrast in GH6, while GH7 has stronger blue/yellow contrast.

@@halifaxzapp I actually don’t like this look so much to be honest, I’m just trying all these luts to see how they feel to me. This look is a little bit too extreme for me. I’m much more into a vintage look. But I’m sure the GH7and the GH6 are both amazing cameras.
