I see what you are trying to achieve, but there is a new type of air filter for Chinese saws that has such a capacity and such a good flow that the engine runs as if it were not there at all, a person can breathe normally through that filter, while he cannot through the standard plastic one, and that the sealing on the standard filter can only be solved properly by filling the channel on the filter with silicone and when the silicone hardens it remains perfectly sealed without traces of sawdust inside, thanks for the effort but it won't work otherwise, I've tried all those rubber bands for a long time and they don't work because the screw that clamps the filter is eccentrically placed and therefore the filter never stands straight

Yes I know I've seen them, but you still have to use the restrictive elbow fillter mount which is too narrow and has an angle to disrupt air flow the husqvana 372 carburettor won't work properly, so my fillter,s do the job grand

The o ring came from a box of o rings, nothing special really.

Get a square paper filter.

Well the problems with these square paper filters is they won't always fit under the plastic tops on some saws, but more importantly my home made sponge filters don't use the elbow mount which is a restriction anyway but also the elbow won't fit the bigger husky 372 carbs anyway, this is why I custom make my own free flow filters they make the saw fly.

@@marklutwyche8578 they are made for Chinese zenoah clones 45,50,56cc...Hatch needs to be modified, but filter works better than that plastic.

Yes I know they fit zanoah saws, but on mine I've got rid of the elbow which is a restriction, this is why I make my own filters now, they improve air flow a lot without the restrictive elbow.
