hello, i'm a little confused for dance auditions... did the auditionees get to choose a specific part of the dance like a dance break, or did they just have to start from the beginning? and if you do start from the beginning, do you just continue until the judges stop you? also, i know that you've had some experience with zoom/second round auditions. how much of a dance audition should you be doing for a second round? i've heard some people say 15 seconds, like a dance break, or the whole song, so i'm not sure. thank you!

What I never understand is why agencies only test singing and dancing when personality and variety skills are more important. Like how many groups become more popular because one of the members sang or danced really well? Almost never. Its always something random like Tsuki making diverse facial expressions or Sana saying cheese gimbap that goes viral. Even when JooE got famous for the Tropicana dance it wasn't her dancing skills but the fact she did it really energetic and funny. I think k-pop idols just need baseline singing and dancing skills, enough not to embarass themselves then just a lot of personality and essentially customer service skills. So instead of simply practicing dance and vocals aspiring idols should also practice doing livestreams where they just talk, or do a lot of public speaking or even take improv classes so you're use to it when you appear on a variety.

Before gaining popularity, the priority to becoming an idol should be talent. Tsuki's fancam went viral for he stage presence and dance skills. JooE couldn't have gone viral if she had weak dancing skills with no energy. In an audition, they're not purely looking at talent either, they're looking for potential as well.
