@@littlemecarmie she posted some very genuine and heartfelt stories in reply to her first gift guide and all the comments on there about how the price points were so unreasonable and she's so out of touch and basically she said she chose the best gifts she could because she wanted the matching giveaway to just be amazing and totally didn't have any intention of it coming across the way it did so she's changed the title to Luxury Gift Guide and also she already has the other gift giudes ready to go at lower price points (stocking stuffers etc.!), but she just came across so lovely in them and said it's been a hard few months!

Fleur, my ten-year-old dog crossed the rainbow bridge a few days ago, and when I saw Squidge trying to get Mike's attention in a DAAAAD LET'S PLAY manner, I literally hit pause and I don't think I can continue watching this. I'm pretty sure you have the best picks this year, as per usual, and I'm really happy you still find the time to do this for your subs. We appreciate it so much and you and Mike are such a lovely couple, but I just can't continue watching this with Squidge being the cutest attention-seeker. I just miss my Trudis so much. I love you guys and sending cuddles and kisses to all the dogs and to Riv as well!

I feel bad that the 'For Her' gift guide was so poorly received. I understand that they were pricier gifts but I didn't think they were insane (like I can't afford the majority of the list, but thats just living as a university student lol) but they all seemed pretty on brand for the channel. And pretty similar in suggestions to other gift guides I've seen from beauty KZbinrs. Plus I understand the main reason they were bigger items was to make the giveaway more exciting. And like it was mentioned in the instagram stories I do think if they were lower priced items there would have been people wanting fancier stuff for the 'main' giveaways, and there is always the 'stocking stuffer gifts' video that are the more affordable things. I just feel bad that you worked with all these brands to get really nice giveaways and then got backlash over it. I do think adding Luxury to the title was appropriate, but I personally think the backlash was a bit more then necessary for a video about gift suggestions.
