Its weird how they build everything with cheap wood isnt it. Here in holland they build EVERYTHING with concrete. I guess americans have access to cheap canadian forests.

@@maozedong44 We also have access to wood rot, termites, soft lumber, and rusty fasteners. I lived in Italy where so many of the houses were hundreds if not thousands (mine) of years old, and here, if a house if over a few decades old, it is usually delapaded. However concrete and stone can be a freezer in the winter, and an oven in the summer!!!!! Its also interesting how after the wars in Europe, they often picked up the stones from broken houses/buildings and recycled them into new buildings. Stone is almost eternal IMHO.
