For anybody interested, that garden used to be managed by UCLA which is literally down the street. The garden has a rich and cherished history. Students at the school used to be able to take tours of the garden and the grounds were private, but open to the public for tours. Once the house is sold, I doubt it will ever be open to the public again. Making this tour more meaningful than I think Enes realizes. I'm glad the public was able to see it one last time.
@BadgerButterfly2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting us know that is interesting, what a special place. I hope students can still visit though I doubt it like you said which will be a sad loss, no wonder it had to do with UCLA since it was kept so nicely.
@zeitgeistx52392 жыл бұрын
A simple Google shows that UCLA was gifted this property in perpetuity for educational purposes and sold it several years ago. The children of the person who donated sued UCLA as UCLA did not have right to sell it per donation agreement. UCLA settled with the family.

That outdoor landscaping and Japanese design is beyond impressive and gorgeous. I've seen a whole lot of home Japanese gardens but this one is definitely the best I have ever seen at a residence. Enes, when Mikey asked you what your preference was with either a traditional design or some of the modern designs, you stated exactly what my preferences are, too, with the more traditional design. However, this estate with the ever popular collection of bay windows, exquisite mill work, square footage, AND the breathtaking Japanese Zen garden truly captures my imagination. What a magnificent relaxing environment. As always, another incredible entry for all to enjoy. Thanks to you and Mikey.

if you live in LA and always dreamed of becoming a samurai, this house is perfect for you. That is really impressive how they could recreate that japanese space with so many details. If I was watching a movie of someone inside that space and they told me they were in Japan, I'd believe it. This house is perfect in every detail. Very spacious, a lot of green. I just didn't see a tv through the entire house or even a media room. How I'd watch Enes videos then, I wonder? haha. Ps.: Loved the new outfit :D
