Knowing that Benefit's Hoola costs about $5 CAD per gram and the Marc Jacobs Tan-Tastic cost $2.60 really makes you think about how you're spending your money. I know many people don't use price per gram costs because a lot of people don't pan products. But for people with smaller collections who do get their use out of the products, it may be useful.

That's why I love bronzer/blush pallettes too esp when all the colours are nice, it helps to get value that way. The benefit cheerleaders has hoola og and caramel, I mix them both, both full size pans!

I definitely consider how much product I get the price, that's why I didn't mind spending my money on the Marc Jacobs bronzer PLUS the color is so nice for my skin tone. I struggle with bronzers looking too orange or just too dark and that one is so perfect in color (and I love the smell haha)

I love the guerlain gold primer! It changed my foundation game. Whenever I use it, my makeup always stays looking fresh for longer. Although I haven’t experienced this, my mother says this primer makes her skin firmer and that it gives her face a lifted look. Also, I’ve had my bottle for over a year now, so a little goes a long way (tbf I don’t use it everyday). So that’s why I think it’s worth it. But hey, different strokes for different folks. Anyway, love your videos, Jamie! They make my quarantine more bearable ❤️❤️

Thank you for talking about the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks! I feel like so many people pass them over for other, often even more expensive, lipsticks from larger brands because they may not watch her channel or know the products’ incredible history. Her lipsticks are truly unique as she’s the first to ever develop the velvet like texture that really can only be seen in person or in a still photo, and only releases them once or maybe twice a year because it’s such an intricate and time consuming process for them to be made. I hope she’s able to patent or protect her technique because I think the specialness of the velvet texture would be lost with a big brand mass producing it. These lipsticks are truly a labor of love, even more so than other makeup artist owned brand.

I got the Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil as a gift. It smells marvellous and it’s not greasy feeling. When I asked a product consultant about usage, she said I can use it as a primer and a moisturizer, especially under powder foundation. I found that it’s too much in the t-zone. I now use it on the drier parts of my face. It does come in a variety of sizes, so to try it is less than the 1 ounce price.

I just finally splurged on the Charlotte Tilbury Powder, I couldn’t justify the price because I usually don’t use powder at all since I have dry skin and prefer dewy hydrating products. I was actually surprised it provides as much coverage as it does. Everyone always says it’s so good for setting the under eye, but I find it too heavy for that. It is sooooo soft, smooth, and really minimizes your pores so def still worth it and I’m glad I finally bought it ❤️ oh and the Marc Jacobs tantastic is my absolute favorite bronzer! I use it every time I do my makeup and still have not made a dent in it. You look gorgeous! Are you planning on doing another live on Instagram or have a missed it lol loved the last one you did

For me, the Charlotte Tilbury powders don't work. I tried the medium first and it left such a yellow tint on my skin, even when super sparingly used. I bought the fair one, and it's way too light and cool-toned on me. When I have the patience, I try to mix the two of them to get the right tone for me. I have the other Marc Jacobs bronzer that had a black packaging, and loooove it! A while ago I was able to snag a Pat McGrath 6 pan palette from her website for 50% off. OMG, her shadows are so good, but I can't bring myself to spend $170 before tax on 10 shadows. Definitely a beautiful formula though. I'm going to stick to my Natasha Denona and Viseart shadows for now. I do like the Guerlain primer, but I also didn't pay for it, I redeemed Shoppers Optimum points on it. If I had to pay for it, I'm not sure that I would. It feels nice, I like the smell, even though it's heavier than what I'm used too. And I'm with you with the Tatcha serum stick!! I bought it because I was excited for a targeted serum for under eyes and lines....then afterwards I was like, oh...there's no way to keep it sanitary. Now, I'm off to find Lisa Eldridge lipstick. Thanks for a great video!!
