What a wonderful trip. I love to stay on the boat. The misses doesn't enjoy it as much as me but she is a trooper and will camp sometimes. When you are out on the boat you don't need much, just a few snacks and some fresh toilet paper forsure. I use to have a 30 foot cabin cruiser and the wife loved that, but it was just to big.

That's a tiny pontoon compared to the 1 my grandfather had and his was covered all the way to the front gate. It had a table that 4 people could set at and my grandmother rigged up a shower curtain to wrap around the porta potty or to change clothes. It was awesome! I miss those times!!✌🐢

Really nice little setup. would be great for some of the little streams and ponds around here, though i'd be scared to take it out onto the lake. I prefer deep v hulls for the lake, pontoons just get tossed around tomuch.

@@PalmettoCats yeah the lake i live on, we can see 20, even 30 foot waves in storms. flat bottom john boats, and pontoon boots just get thrown around in those waves, even some of the smaller sailboats have a hard time. I helped out in power sail rescue... look up the Optimist class of dinghy. now picture trying to keep track of those in just 8' rollers, while you are in a trawler, trying to keep hitting the waves at a nice 25 degrees so you don't crash down on the other side. every time you hit a trough, all you see is water everywhere... then you come up and search for where all the dinghies are before dropping down into the next trough.

I suggest using a good fish finding sonar. Drop anchor slowly in the area where the big fish are hanging out. Chum up the water with dog food or empty a can of stronghart dog food over board or in a sump pump filter bag attached to the anchor. On the way to Lake , pick up a fish or 2 , chips, snacks
