BACK TO TRUCK CAMPING A Realistic Day in the Forest

Were back to truck camping after a week without our truck. Driving to the Ouachita forest but stop to get groceries first. Looking for camp and the first camp site was taken. So we drive around and find another site that was available. For dinner Kellie heated up leftover butternut squash lasagna. We test out our new insulation in the camper. Kellie made burritos for dinner the next morning. We take the day to hang around camp, hike along the creek, and make a campfire. That evening we enjoy a cocktail by the fire and Kellie prepares Mexican quinoa casserole. We're so happy to be back in the woods!

If you didn’t replace that CP4 … install the disaster prevention kit from S&S diesel. It will save you having to replace your engine when that pump decides to blow up!

Just found your utube channel - wife and I long time outdoors folks hugely into camping. We had a 1999 Veri lite Truck camper with stable lift system so took it off all the time. Only reason we sold it was after first year realized I got a flat tire on truck had to take whole camper off to change the tire. Went to a rockwood mini lite dual axle trailer - taking off in spring to Scranton, Arkansas watch eclipse and then travel and camp - love love love your folks and your videos - from Michigan

Just wanted to recommend uncured bacon without nitrates. Smithfield just came out with bacon without nitrates. Hormel has uncured bacon. Kroger has their own brand as well. We eat all pork products uncured. It’s much more healthy that regular pork products.

It makes no difference. It still has a cure. It comes from celery juice and is no different than any other cure. The product is just disingenuous. It's like vegetable seeds that label non GMO. No GMO seeds are available to the public. Except for fiber like cotton, almost all gmo seeds are for professional grain farmers.

Cody- I dislocated my finger and the joint was severely swollen. To help the healing process, I wrapped the joint using horse wrap (very inexpensive) Wrapping the joint got the fluid to move out of the joint. Give it a try!

Loving this vlog. I make my own fire starters...dryer lint in a cardboard egg carton compartment, then pour in melted wax. Let them set up and cut the carton apart. They work great, even if your wood is damp. Cedar Sniffin' sticks are really good, and I agree, cedar burns a hot fire. But i also like sassafras for sniffin' sticks 😊. I make a dish similar to yours, except I use spaghetti squash instead of the quinoa. I'm definitely going to make it with the quinoa. Happy camping!

The best camping channel! You're so unique, there is no channel like yours that shows truck camper living. Love the cooking, and to me the inside camper portion of the videos are soooo cozy and relaxing. The dish in this video is just beautiful! I'm no vegan, but I rarely eat meat, I just dont like it as much as vegetables. I heard that in US you can get fresh Maize all year round. To me it would be like living in heaven. xD

Did those beetles bite. In NH the Japanese beetles bite. They don't care if I'm wearing repellant or not. At the coast of NH in the summer we have a fly that everyone calls, "greenheads." They will bite through canvas of a walking shoe. I have pinched them between my thumb and forefinger, thrown them to the deck of the boat. They spring back to life and fly away. I'm surprised the government has not studied them.
