Oh lord I had to buy this pattern after watching you put it together. What a cool bag! Printing it off now but won’t be able to work on it for a few weeks. Thanks for all your hard work. Just got my hardware order today in time for my weekend off work to get a couple bags done that I’ve had cut out. Hubby is scheduled for hip replacement surgery on Wed. So my time will probably be spent getting him back on his feet when I’m not working at my job. He was supposed to have this done last year but the pandemic happened...

Finally took the courage to make this bag. Closing the lining was a bit challenged. Note to self next time I will use a different color for the divider pocket exterior, it will make it easy to see when sewing at the end. Great pattern. 👛 recommend this to anyone!

When I do hidden connectors I don't cut triangles, just a slit and then I cut down each side of the slit 1/4 inch sew the top part put on the ring fold down the cut part on the bottom and sew from the back. You can sew from the top if you want and add a rivet.

I have three coach bags made like that. One has taller sides, one has a little shorter sides and one has the shorter sides and it looks like it is gathered at the top of the sides. I have been looking to see if someone would make a similar bag.

I'm convinced and bought it only because of your clear instructions! But I am confused about Side Panel Exterior A. The pattern piece says, "Cut on fold and at lower dotted line." There isn't a FOLD (and arrows) on the pattern. The chart doesn't have a piece for the lower part of pattern A. I don't understand. Can you explain what you did. Thanks.

Hi Siah I am using a fairly thin but none the less it's upholstery fabric for the lining. I don't think I need Sf 101 for it. But, I do want a sturdy bag with Mora for the exterior. Any thoughts?

Thank you for another detailed video. Visual learner here so these are always VERY helpful. Question.... Watching you pull lining and center pocket through the zipper pocket looked a bit tough. Is it possible to make that zipper pocket a bit wider, maybe by an 1" or 1.5" to help with pulling all that material through? I suspect that using canvas will make this step more difficult. Well yes you could, but you have to keep in mind you are still sewing that main panel to the sides. If you want the zipper wider, I would suggest attaching maybe just those two sides first then doing the zipper pocket bigger. Does that make sense?

Hi siah,I don't know what happened but I cut everything out the way it said Andy ended up short 1/2 inch on the sides for the exterior it didn't match up with the 13by11..1/2 inch difference very disappointed but I have too make it now it's cute out I have too take the 1/2 inch off the front exterior and back you match with the sides...I feel a little defeated.. But she was very helpful and we figured it she figured out what this do so I wouldn't lose the bag.. So I corrected what I needed too but it will be smaller than original size... At least I don't have too loose my fabric I hope.... Ooh Well....I thought I checked the one inch butt in guess I didn't.....

So realistically the only thing holding the middle pocket centre vinyl at the back is the double sided tape. Is that correct? You don't sew it in place? Is that why some people use the studs all the way along? Or did I miss a step.

No you top stitch that down.

@@SiahSwag but at the 2 hour mark of your video you top stitch the sides, but what holds the centre of the vinyl right next to the bag down. Is that centre bit just tape? The outside is stitched but the centre is only taped? I ask because my tape is worse than useless and I am concerned the middle vinyl will peel off the tape.

No don’t be intimidated! Take it slow and you can do it!!! As long as you have the right tools and instructions you should be good to go!

A bit late to this party! A word of warning, do not make hidden connectors if you are using fabric rather than vinyl. The hole gets bigger and the fabric frays as you work. I had to make sew on connectors to cover the hole. Also whilst the result is good be prepared for the huge investment in time to make the bag. As ever Siah’s video is clear but flattering when it comes to the actual time it takes. I am very experienced and it took me around 12 hours admittedly breaking off to look at the video and pattern. If you are making to sell it is just not commercially viable. As for the struggles with finishing the lining, rather than pull it all through pockets I left a gap and sewed it up on the top. Nobody will see it.
