A The Owl House comic in which The Collector makes a discovery while fighting Luz.
This would be set after For The Future, I hope this is not too out of character. I think the Collector genuinely wants a friend...and that makes me sad.

Maybe, or he was rejected by his people because he didn’t want to destroy worlds like they did. There’s a painting that show him in a bubble surrounded by other, bigger collectors. Many fans are saying his life was similar to Luz’s in that he was an outcast for being different and lived a very lonely existence without a family which made him vulnerable to manipulation.

That last scene really hits deep. When you think about it, the collector is just a kid who wanted to be surrounded by people who care about him. And if looking into his actions, he acted a lot like King did during the first season. Only, he did not have the same opportunity as King did- King received the chance to have a family when Eda adopted him and the collector didn’t. Hopefully, that kid can be redeemed and get what he really wanted in a much better way.

This is so beautiful! I love how Luz finally got through 2 Collector, and how he opened up about how he really felt about how he felt alone and that he felt bad that he couldn’t be as good of a friend to King as Luz. This would be such a great scene 4 the 3rd episode of season 3 of the owl house. I loved this video that you made!

In a way the Colletor and Luz are similar. Because before luz went into the demon realm and met Ida and king. She was all alone since no one understood her and not even her mom couldn't help her to the points that she was lonely.

Seriously; that was how I was hoping this would end: Luz dropping her staff and snatching the Collector out of the air and holding him, saying something like: "I know how you feel. Maybe I didn't go through it for as long as you; but it felt just as lonely, just as boring, just as miserable. But the good thing is: that can change. I'm living proof. I was, no; I felt like I was nobody back in the human realm, but coming here, meeting Eda and King; everything changed! I took a chance on something that seemed impossible, and look where it brought me: I'm the first, not insane, human to do magic, to earn a magic staff, I'm the big sister figure to a Titan, have a group of ride-or-die friends who are literally facing a living apocalypse with me, and turned a rival into the love of my life. If I can do that as a not-so-simple human; what does that mean for someone s powerful as you?"

The collector deserves better tbh. He’s just a kid wanting to have fun but he doesn’t know that he could harm others and the world because no one has told him. He just doesn’t want to be abandoned again. He wants to be free. People make theories on him being abandoned by the other collectors and I think the reason why he would be would be because he doesn’t want to destroy just play and they think that is way to childish so they banished him

I knew from the start that there was something wrong with the Collector! He's not bad at all! He's just lonely, and he's the last of all the Collectors. Who knows?
