I have a Coach wallet that is 18 years old that I love, my husband bought it for my birthday when we started dating. It tore and separated a bit on the edge in a place similar to yours. I took it to a shoe repair place and they did a fabulous job repairing it for a small price. Just a tip! Have a lovely weekend.

I have the insolite wallet in the damier and I absolutely LOVE it!! But I love big wallets. It's true on the side how it starts to split. Mine isn't as bad as yours but I'm sure it'll eventually get there. Does LV repair that like they do straps for bags??

I've had my old Sarah wallet for 11 years going on 12 (in the traditional monogram canvas). While the canvas has shrunk a little and I had the edges resealed at the 8 year mark, it still looks pretty good! I can't quite decide on the replacement for it. Tiffany (or anyone else) what is your experience with the vernis and how do you think it would hold up in wallet form? Thanks! Xx

I also sent out my Neverfull to get the straps replaced, how long ago did you send it out? When they received it did they ever notify you about receiving it or timing of getting it back? ( i was told 4-6 weeks) Just curious since you are going through repair too :-)

I have the insolite with the pink interior from around the same time. I use it in much the same way as you might use a clutch. My phone fits in the zip pocket, and it works well for everyday errands. I keep a separate pouch for change so my insolite doesn't get too heavy.

Even knowing all these things about the insolite from other similar reviews, I had to get it. I really like the design rather than a zip around wallet or a more traditional style like the Sarah. And once I found out about the multi being discontinued, I knew I'd regret not getting it. I hope I don't change my mind in 5 years!

Hey Tiffany just wanted to share with you the huge savings from purchasing in Paris! Just got back from a trip where I visited the flagship store on Champs D'Elysees avenue and purchased the Sarah wallet in the vernis leather for 595 euros! Plus you get a tax refund at the airport so it's coming out to be around $575 U.S.! Awesome prices there! I kept thinking "Tiffany would go crazy in here" lol

I have the same two wallets. My Insolite in white has the baby pink on the inside and I got it last year at my local Louis Vuitton. And because it's white I have always kept it in the dust bag in my purse in order to keep it clean. Lol. Call me crazy, but it works. And then last weekend In Las Vegas I got the black Sarah with the hot pink because I have the matching cosmetic bag and key ring. I love both!

I love my Sara wallet too. My glazing on the side cracked. Just in one spot. It wasn't peeling like they've been known to do. Just cracked in one spot of the glazing. I had used it for over a year & a half. My LV store sent it for repair for free. Free repairs is usually only for a year. I was so happy. I love Louis Vuitton service. But keep that in mind on the side where you open the wallet completely. Next to the 6 inside card slots. It may crack or even peel. Sara wallets are known for the glazing peeling. Great full review of the Insolite. I was going to buy one off the LV website today. Now I think I'll pass.

Holy cow! That held up SO WELL! Did you or can you send it in for repair or will they not repair it bec it'c its canvas? The stitching and cracking would be my issues. Cracking is part of my reasoning for going Epi/Taiga/Empriente vs canvas. I am loving these videos! Screw the complainers and haters. You're allowed to share other loves.

Snagged one of the last Black MC Insolite's in the NY area. SA said they were packing them all up on 7/31 and shipping them back to France. I still consider this wallet wore fantastically over 5 years. I have Walmart/Payless wallets that don't survive 12 months so I can see the "you get what you pay for" idea. Fossil has worked really great for me at a more "in between" price range but closer to the more affordable side.

I have the Insolite for 4 years now and it's been in tact. I agree though that the motion to open sucks cause you're exposing your whole inside of the wallet when you're out. Makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Lol. The Damier though have been great and haven't shown any wear on the outside, as well as the inside.

I admire how passionate you are about your LV pieces, either the bags or wallets. Me personally, I can’t fathom spending that kind of money on “canvas” and not leather. LV has made quite a name for themselves and charge so much for these pieces. I’ve wanted the Speedy 35 forever, maybe since it came out but can’t bring myself to buy it because it is canvas and not 100% leather and for the prices, I can get 100% with other designers. Yes sure not LV, understand that. Just my take on it. I love and owe a different designer because the bags and items are genuine leather and they are very heavy bags. We all love what we love, right. pinkgurl3533 well it's tough to pronounce everything correctly when they don't speak a language fluently.... haha. I'm not focusing on trying to say the right things the right way, I just keep it real. Just like one fluent in French that didn't speak perfect English could probably not pronounce everything in English perfectly. I try! This looks like it was normal wear and tear that cause it to crack and rip. It's disappointing that this happened and LV should back up their products because they're very expensive. Someone once told me that they had a lifetime warranty where they would fix anything you purchased, all you had to do was pay for the shipping and handling, but when I got my LV I learned that they only have a 14 day return policy.

nancy ferreira mejia When I got my bag during christmas my dad asked about that we were told by three different stores and customer serive that you only had 14 days to return the bag, but if there was ever a manufacture issue with the piece they would fix it for free, her issue of the small area where the stiching is coming off would be considered manufacture issue since it is a design flaw, what would be considered a non manufacture issue is if for example you ever stuff you bag and it get so full it rips, that would be a consumers fault not LV, not sure if thats what they explained to you but thats what they told me and my dad. So if you ever have issues with any of your pieces thats a manufacture issue they will fix it for free, I hope that helps.

Fallon Harp - that does help, thank you. I might be wrong in thinking that even a design flaw should be covered since the design is flawed thus causing tearing, ripping, etc. I understand that some people abuse their items, but this is clearly normal wear and tear which I believe shouldn't cause any tearing or ripping.
