Witch part of the season is this? We would like to travel through Switzerland from Chiasso to Basel but we do not have winter tyres ,is it recommended to drive in March with winter tyres through this country?

Hi Christos, i recorded this video in February. In March you have a 90% chance that it won't snow. But that 10% is the risk of heavy snowfall (every year in March it snows very intensely for 2-3 days). But if you check the weather before you leave you won't have any problems :-)

lvan92 Hi Ivan , thanks a lot for your fast reply, we will travel through Switzerland if everything will go as planned on 7 march and 19 march. I think that we need to check for second hand winter tyres so that we are sure and ready for ice and snow. I think that we will pass also at night on our up way and in day time on our back road. Unfortunately we cant use the winter tyres anymore after we are back in our country greece because we have always son here hahaha :-) but we will sell them again after the trip. Switzerland is such a beautiful country very nice with the tunnels the mountains and the beautiful viewpoints
