LVYUAN 1000W? -or- 2000W? Inverter from online seller. What do I think of it. Is it a defective one?

This is a LVYUAN inverter rates at either 1000 Watts or 2000 Watts you decide. The beat I could get was about 750 Watts at 103 Volts AC output. You make the call. Let me know what you think.

I just bought one of this exact unit off Amazon for $59. Glad to know it's true limitations. I just wanted to be able to charge some cordless drill batteries or hook up some led lights. With my 100 watt solar panel, 70ah battery and this 2000watt inverter (really just a 500watt inverter) my cost total was $178. I wanted a way to take the burden off of my solar generators if we have a power outage. I have 3 Ecoflows, one Jackery and a little Westinghouse. All with there own solar. Good test, you just got another subscriber!

I’d be curious to see what this thing could do with a proper pair of cables that could carry the current and a power supply that doesn’t drop from 14 to 10-1/2 volts when loaded with a 500 watt draw.

It's improperly labelled, it should say 2000w surge, 500w continuous.

I've seen these advertised as 600 / 1200 w which means 600w continuous and 2000w surge.

Wow .. I have this inverter, mine is a 1000w cont. with 2000w surge .. I use it often to power my 8amp vac (960watts) when cleaning my cars and i also use it to power some tools and other gadgets. I got it off Ebay for $79...i connect directly to the car battery using the supplied cables and it has yet to fail me .. mine is in a blue case but i don't think that matters .. the cables do get warm but they are cheap cables so i bought some 6ga wire to replace them .. I get way more than 500watts from mine .. same brand

I ordered the same 800 watt inverter for 39.99 and received the 2000 watt. I only needed it for camping so it will do. I guess the ratings are the same as older chinese brand car audio. They say generally half the advertised power😅

i don't like the size of the wires that go to the ac sockets....they don't look like they would hold a 1000 watt load without burning up...great video tho :)...hope all is good with you and the family

That's because you're using a power supply and not a battery batteries. Gonna supply a lot more Ambridge or more current. It'll give you 12 V and a hell of a lot of amperage. Which those things are designed to operate on. And that's why the display screen is dull. Because you're not giving it the proper current.

I have 4 200cca lawn and tractor batteries connected in parallel, so power supply current is not an issue

I think your friend needs to get car starter motor cables (real copper) for the d.c input, soldered on thick eyelets. 600 watts is more likely the output, as you said. That is a poor inverter Bullshit china as normal :-(
