Nice Work Jay. I use a p1000 here in Australia. I use the time lapse for night time setting. And leave the camera steady. Great shots of ships over 30 up to 50 kms away. Also on cloudy days I zoom straight into the Sun and can frequently pick Sun spots. Keep up you research.

The things that are revealed by looking at objects with cameras that are sensitive to otherwise unseen wavelengths. Fascinating. Imagine being able to tune one's own vision to any wavelength by just wiggling one's nose :-) We'd most likely never get anything useful done; being captured by the wonders of Creation. Thanks for sharing, Jay. God Bless.

One word of caution if you have LED desklamps be sure to set the setting on the yellow tinge, as the white settings have too much blue wavelength light, which is bad for your eyes. Street lamps do too!! I should do a video tbh but conspiracies abound eh!!

Hello, I am from Spain, and I have a question, what is the maximum distance at which an island would be visible above the ocean water? I ask you this question because a few years ago an island appeared about 50km into the sea in front of the city. from Gijon in the north of Spain and it does not appear on any map and another issue is that about 300km offshore towards the west in front of Santiago de Compostela something very similar happens there is land that the government denies

I intially wanted to wait untill resolutions got to 1024x768, but when I saw how insanely expensive the FLIR T1020 was, I said no way, I'll wait for the prices to come down. But I discovered the Pulsar Helion 2 Pro has a trick up its sleve, it upconverts the resolution by integrating a few frames, so I do get that resolution. When I read that it was a done deal. Click!!! There was a brilliant man, that I followed, when he was still around. He postulated that the moon, as we see it, is the outer view of that world’s dome. Yes, implying that the moon is a world, just like ours, but younger/smaller. They potentially see our dome in the same, or similar way. Assuming there is life there. So it makes sense that you’re seeing, what appears to resemble an atmosphere, possibly radiating out. Or it could be the waters above their world. Interesting theory

That's my plan, because the longer wavelength (8-12um for LWIR) is not bent (or refracted) as much as the visible wavelengths of light (450nm to 600nm or so), so we get a much straighter picture of the world.... but unfortunately I can not film through a window of an airplane from high altitude, so I have to climb a mountain, and right now it is cold. brrrrrrrr. But come summer time ..... I'll be getting some excercise! LOL

@michaeldunlavey6015 11 ай бұрын
@@jtolanmedia1 Yeah, and mountains aren't that high, or situated with ocean on both sides. But you could fall back on your IR photo technology out airplane windows. I would say, just take a ruler or straight piece of paper. Tape it on the seat back so it points 1" below the top of the window and 1" below the top of the opposite window. Now, you should be able to show that it's pointing at the horizon, on both sides.

‭‭Job 38:7 KJV‬‬ [7] When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? Could it be that sound creates the light called "stars"? How would scientist describe such a thing? Sonoluminescence is the emission of light from imploding bubbles in a liquid when excited by sound. Sonoluminescence was first discovered in 1934 at the University of Cologne. It occurs when a sound wave of sufficient intensity induces a gaseous cavity within a liquid to collapse quickly, emitting a burst of light. The phenomenon can be observed in stable single-bubble sonoluminescence and multi-bubble sonoluminescence. In 1960, Peter Jarman proposed that sonoluminescence is thermal in origin and might arise from microshocks within collapsing cavities. Later experiments revealed that the temperature inside the bubble during SBSL could reach up to 12,000 kelvins. The exact mechanism behind sonoluminescence remains unknown, with various hypotheses including hotspot, bremsstrahlung, and collision-induced radiation. Incidentally, the temperature of the typical white in color star is estimated to be about the same temperature created through sonoluminescent reaction. Some as low as 7,500 kelvin and some in the blueish color spectrum as high as 30k kelvin. The stars I've viewed using my own equipment do appear to be as though they are being viewed through water.

Its been slightly cloudy but the new crescent moon can be picked out through the clouds easily with IR, because it stands out due to the heat signature. But with the naked eye you can't see it in haze at all. However be carefull not to poin the sensor at the Sun, it might damage it. I took a risk and looked at the sun quickly in some light clouds, its bright alrgiht! But through heavy clouds you can't see it at all, the clouds block the IR.
