we would pressure wash every log before we put it on the woodmizer to decrease blade sharpening, it worked very well, i love to work with a woodmizer product, by the far the best on the market as far as i am concerned, we sawed thousands of feet of pine, spruce , fir, and hemlock with no issues, built a home and a large camp in timber frame construction and all of the lumber stayed within dimension specs with very little variation, i would recommend this investment no problem

Woodmizer has the finest sawmills made. I've owned two other mills from competitors, and their mills had "dime store" components, and poor resale value. Woodmizer is known for holding their value, and producing clean accurate lumber. I've noticed negative comments on Woodmizer videos, and I'm sure it's from competitor's employees who are afraid of the competition. If you doubt me, just look at competitor videos, and they will spend more time knocking their competition, than promoting their own mill. Says a lot about the manufacturer, and his fears...

I looked long and hard before ordering my mill. While woodmizer has a good design, you're paying for that big corporation and all their overhead. At each price point woodmizer is the most expensive. My mill is a year old and worth more than what I paid for it, and it isn't a woodmizer so resale value on almost all mills is not an issue.

Do you push the saw through the log or does it travel on it's own as it's cutting?
@dwightjones58266 жыл бұрын
Do one on the 450 that shows it really sawing a whole log not abbreviated

I'd like this mill, power up/ down would be nice for an old man! I understand the cantilever concept and why it has some nice advantages. The guy who stated these mills hold their value is correct. I Don't throw hardwood lumber down because sometimes it splits on the ends. It only takes once to learn. Is it worth 5 to 8K $$ extra to cut 5.5 more inches in width, that is the question?

Can you extend the bed for longer logs?
@woodmizer6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can extend the 18' 5" bed with additional 6' 1" bed extensions to saw longer logs.

Will there be an electric motor option? And maybe a bed rail/bunk system similar to the LT15WIDE, not a fan of the thin bunks.
@woodmizer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bob, currently the LX150 is available in a gas or diesel option. The bed is also available as shown on the video. The raised bunks or cross sections allow for ease of loading logs with a forklift or fork tractor which reduces the risk of damaging the bed rails. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Woodmizer has always promoted the cantilever design. Is this new mill a knee jerk reaction to all of the competition that already builds twin rail mills? Or maybe peer pressure.
@woodmizer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Barry, the LX150 is the second twin rail sawmill offered in our LX series. Wood-Mizer has long been the only sawmill manufacturer with the monorail cantilever design, holding several patents on the technology and trusted by more than 70,000 sawmillers throughout the world. Every sawyer has different needs and preferences which led to the addition of the LX sawmill series. You can now own an LT series monorail or LX series twin rail sawmill and receive the best support in the industry enjoyed by Wood-Mizer owners throughout the past 35+ years!

A seat belt on a forklift? LoL....... Wood-Mizer goes over to the dark side... I thought that the whole cantilever concept was in reaction to the inherent inaccuracy and racking errors of a twin rail saw?
