Some quick comments (small spoilers on the battles down below)! 1) The original team concept came from, BanFox, an Italian player who won an IRL tournament in Italy with the exact same 6 in early December. My apologies for not giving BanFox a shoutout in the video, he absolutely deserves one and I think this new duo will dramatically impact the metagame! 2) I totally had forgotten about the very early Tera in Game 2, so I definitely could have just used Endeavor on Hydreigon in the 2nd match. Lots to keep track of with Tera in this new format!

Qotd: I think Flygon could benefit greatly for having sand rush as like a hidden ability, levitate is really nice but i think sand rush could give it more of a competitive edge in VGC where hazards aren’t as common

Flygons a poor persons garchomp though so imo it needs a diff niche. Instead of sand RUSH, how about sand FORCE? and plus say... 5 in speeds base stat. So then it plays like a flimsier garchomp, but could also potentially counter it depending on moves it gets

This team is awesome thanks for showcasing. I had the most satisfying win. Flying Tera tyranitor was down to 10HP with dodenzo put to sleep against Tera fairy Sylveon and armouroge. Swapped tyranitar for tatsugiri and he went in dodonzos mouth. Slyveon quick attacks in the tryanitar slot but misses since tatsugiri is inside dodonzo. Sleep talk dodonzo earthquake one shots armorauge and finishes off sylveon. Game.

His Baxcalibur set is extremely unique and he also makes use of soak scarf Tatsugiri paired with Meowscarada to get some surprise quick KOs. Meowscarada can also U-turn out to Dondozo instead if necessary. Its one of the most unique teams I've seen so far and definitely worth checking out

QOTD: For variance sake i want to see maractus get sand rush. Chlorophyll is a very double edged sword as it boosts fire types. Sand rush will help sand teams deal with water types and weather ball maractus can beat fire types.

I was thinking rather than the Tatsugiri Don core maybe slotting in Indeedee and Armarouge to have a TR counter and option to beat Torkoal might work and then you can go Rotom Wash over Heat.

You gotta put a reminder up or something when Tera is spent you played around Hydreigon Tera Steeling in game 2 but they already spent the Tera on the Gholdengo, so you absolutely were free to Endeavor the Hyderigon and be sure that Sandstorm finishes it off

I have a cracked duo for my team of volcarona and oricorio. Volcarona with fiery dance range powder quiver dance and bug buzz. Oricorio is Tera electric with tailwind revelation dance substitute baton pass. Oricorio will copy any dance moves volcarona used but another non I have on my team is altaria with feather dance. Getting that off twice in 1 then along with electric revelation dance is a def check for dondozo.

I think Crustle would be neat with sand rush it has the offensive moves and power to hit things very hard but it's often let down by it's speed and lack of a good ability i would love to use the double speed rock wrecker OHKO on some mons too.

I'm not sure why so many people are surprised by Tera Flying on Ttar. I recognize that since Ttar is my favorite Pokemon, I naturally looked at it more closely than a lot of people, but before the game even came out I was going: "OK, Ghost is obviously the first thing to come to mind, but with Ttar's bulk, Rock will still survive a lot of Fighting attacks and boost up Rock Slide damage to terrifying levels while maintaining the SpDef boost from Sandstorm. You could use Ghost defensively just to catch Fighting types by surprise, but wait, wouldn't Flying be even better since it covers 2 of Ttar's weaknesses? Yeah, you don't need an immunity to Fighting, a resist is plenty, and being immune to Ground allows you to pair Ttar with Earthquakes (I was thinking along the lines of Excadrill at the time because we didn't know what Pokemon made it in the game) while also avoiding a very common attacking type that usually does physical damage that Ttar is weak to." Though I will say I absolutely overlooked Tera Blast as a potential merit.

This combo is so hard to cover for. Even if you have something that matches up well the flinch chance can always cause a major issue lol.
