Lydia is my fav character and in my opinion, the most powerful character in the show. She’s so powerful, her evolution is by far one of the best ones by far. I like how she went from being the high school bxtchy popular girl to every supernatural creatures innate fear so long as they knew who she was. Lydia >>> 🙈😍

I actually like her entire arc in the series. Went from the oblivious girl to the most helpful in the group. Also went from supporting character to main character halfway through the series.

Not only that, she also went from pretending to be a stupid, shallow girl in order to "fit in" and be popular to embracing who she truly was, not afraid to show she actually had a strong personality, and also proving that you can be smart, witty, kinda nerdy but still be on top of fashion and make-up. She was a character deemed as weak or defenseless most of the time because she indeed doesn't have claws or fangs to fight, yet she was never afraid to go in to understand what's going on and help people. She was originally scared of her power and facing death, but she ended accepting it and seeing the good in it. Such a great character who kept evolving from the first episode until the end. She had flaws, she had times where she was full of doubts and wanted to run away, but in the end she always stood up and faced things straight ahead.

She has also been through a lot. Actually I think the most of them. She witnessed the alfa and had PTSD, almost died due the bite and ended up in hospital, the fugue state, total mental manipulation from Peter noone cared about, almost strangled by darach, almost kill by echo house gard/killer, mental violation by Theo, banshee violation by that mental doctor, slited throt by kanima and more. Dispite all of that and the fact she had no superhealing she never stoped helping to protect not only people she loves but to everyone she could. RESPECT

I really hated that they spent so much time on her character throughout the season for her to be a basic scared banshee in the movie . Lydia was my favorite character i loved the evolution of her from her learning her powers, hand to hand combat and her IQ. The show needed a couple more seasons to fully flush out family lines and whatever the doctor was

She's amazing! But Parrish taught her to fight and that didn't go anywhere, she just fought once trying to escape Eichen House, so I hope she has at least one hand-to-hand fight scene in the movie.

Eh. Even if she can fight hand to hand, most creatures they're gonna face have ways to actually kill when close ranged (fangs, claws, sharp af tails...) it's smart that she doesn't go melee with them. Her hand-to-hand fighting boosted by her screams is more so to help her face human threats, not really supernatural ones. Against the powerful supernatural you need to use powerful supernatural... and that's her full strength screams.

Lydia’s intelligence and Banshee powers were woefully underutilized in the series.

They could have used her a lot more, indeed, but tbf she was too OP. Human Lydia is already very useful and strong because she's incredibly smart, then you add her power which is basically a cheating device since she can predict the future. Once they added the fact she could use her screams for offence there was no stopping the character to stomp on everybody else. Which is why they put some brakes on her, like how she cannot force her predictions out, how it can take her hours or even days to find out something, why they kept her locked in for SO LONG (because from a story POV it makes absolutely no sense her pack would let her rot there for so long knowing full well she was basically being tortured...)

lydia was well explored till a point, but from season 4 the whole show got really weird, the script was not good at all, the story was just stolling all the time, and even the new cast members were just not good at their jobs, wich i can't really blame them cuz the new characters were zzz i do like the "fan service" for lydia in season 5, kept me going with the show's evolution (till i realize the lack of quality
