I have an ink sitting room and because it is a very high ceiling and a large sash window it is fine but an ordinary celing does not let the light in.

Changing the orientation of the couches would really open up the space. Placing the single couches in front of the bookcase would look lovely and allow for the bookcase to show through more. Love the new color though. Absolutely stunning 💚

They used to have the couches facing each other and the armchairs in front of the bookshelf but moved the couch in front of the shelf so they could watch TV together instead of away from each other.

I enjoy bringing as much outdoors inside as well our connection to the woodlands is such an important element to our wellbeing more than most care to ponder just fantastic Lydia 🌿The jewelry trunk is magnificent I still cherish mine from childhood and also display my grandmother’s hand carved trunk! There is something called Rub & Buff that will change shiny metal to aged in a variety of finishes like bronze etc. you could try that before fully replacing the sockets.

Love the sitting room! So much better in green. Are you sure about using that flooring in the gym? It seems very impractical for working out, looks more like outdoor flooring. Don’t think I’d want to drop weights on it

Only on your channel would I be reminded to ask my aunt for the antique table that plays swan lake that I use to listen to when I was a child. You also reminded me I need to upgrade the bra department. I’m also still finding bits of string around my garden so that’s a good idea. This is why I watch this!

We are renovating our home, weve been here 9 years and renovating for 8. Lydia~ unless you hate the style of your old light switches you can totally get the rub on bronze or antique bronze. I changed my friend’s silver light fixture with it and it’s fabulous!!!! Everyone compliments it and thinks that it was bought that way!!! I would never pay that much for switches ;).

Wow, the living room paint is darker than I thought it would be. It looks very nice. You can easily sew a removeable cover for your ottoman. Measure the length and width plus enough room for hems and adjustments. Lay the fabric over the ottoman. Pull corners out right triangles and pin close to the ottoman leaving enough ease so you can comfortably cover and remove. Sew the seams. Put the ottoman on a table and decide your hem length. Using a stick ruler measure from the table to the hem and pin hem in place all around. Sew the hem. It works like a dream. I’ve covered two small rolling ottomans with a stiff heavy fabric that my cat can’t make holes in! Your dress for the ballerina box ball was lovely. I did like the gloves, but it looked more fabulous without them. Perhaps short black netted gloves? I loved the ballerina box event!! What fun! The two ballerinas with light and darker skin is a fabulous idea!! What little girl wouldn’t love to get that.

Hi Lydia, we have the same tiles in our bathroom and we are having them in our en-suite too. We have had them in the family bathroom for 2 years now and we went with the vanilla coloured grout, it’s the same as they used in Neptune (our tiles were bought there but they are ca pietra ones). Our tiles look the same as when we laid them. We grouted over the tile and the wiped the grout off so the terracotta looks more rustic and paler. Xx

Green is such a relaxing wall cover. Good neutral color, too. Don't get mad, but if your light and electrical switches are all metal, you could try distressing them to remove the shiny finish. It would be a lot of work but could save you much coin.
