Okay I just have to say that Lydia is probably the luckiest woman on the planet to have Ali. Not only is he a handsome man…he cooks, cleans, does chores, electrical work, carpentry work, is super fashionable, fantastic sense of humor, upbeat and friendly, positive, hard working and goes to his grandmas house to help her with chores. Honestly he is the epitome of provider/protector. Men watching Lydia’s channel if you’re out there take note…this is the kind of man women are looking for!!! Well done Lydia! You found the unicorn!!! ☺️🤣🤣🤣

Raw Nuts and seeds need to be stored in the freezer otherwise they go rancid. Best to buy nuts in their shell and crack them yourself and then soak them 8-12 hrs so the body can actually digest them.

Ali is in unenviable and unlucky position. His earning is way bellow hers what many men find challenging. And he seems will not experience fatherhood what yet again many man would not settle for. Some men lack selfesteem and selfconfidence and adore their wifes losing some of their musculinity and menhood. Imho.

Here's a little tip for hanging pictures on wallpaer. Decide where you want the nail ect, then scribe a small triangle into the wallpaper, pull back the wallpaper and just fold it down. Then if you decide to change things up, you just fold the wallpaper back up, secure with a bit of paste and viola, no holes in your wallpaper. Hope that helps.

You are right, heritage is something so important. I am French and your English countryside makes me dream. Here in France we also have an incredible heritage, I have the impression that you have to spend thirty years to become aware of the beauty of the stones. In any case, for my part, it was at thirty that I began to realize that heritage was something incredible and that it had to be preserved. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your exterior work.

Oh, the front of the house is going to look so lovely. I love that you can walk from pub to pub and order drinks and sausage rolls. I do not think you can get a sausage roll in all of America and I have been all over America on business so have eaten at quite a few restaurants around the U.S. My husband Jim is like Ali, Jim is an electrical engineer who can do a lot around the house. My husbands' hands are also dry and crack in the winter. Not sure I could get him to wear my cotton gloves at night after moisturizing his hands before sleep. You too so remind me of my husband and me when we were a lot younger and doing the house over and landscaping the yard like you have done with your house. Good luck, it is so exciting to see it all come together.

Hello… the front of the home 🏡 is coming together just lovely🤍 I wanted to mention to you that last year we had a freeze come through in the middle of Spring and it killed 12 mature boxwoods which look like what you have in your front planters. We live in 🇺🇸 but our Beautiful state of Tennessee 🧡 has all 4 seasons (❄️🌸☀️🍁)…we were told that the boxwoods went through a shock from warmish weather to freezing weather overnight😢 We replaced our boxwoods with Yews instead which are stronger plants and less expensive too… they are similar to the boxwoods but definitely have more of a wonderfully wild look which I thought you might appreciate🥰

Lovely, joyful video. As for the new step being built outside the front door, while you shared in the last video that the drain would remain in place you may want to seriously consider your choices. The closer the outside level is to the door jam the more likely water can get in under the door during times of heavy rainfall or flooding. I have never observed shadows on the front of the house, leading me to believe there are few or no trees in the front garden. Trees absorb tremendous amounts of water from the ground, helping to prevent runoff from lawns. Without trees the soil can only absorb so much before water pools on top and runs downward. In the case of a raised step, if water pools there and the situation arises that the drain becomes blocked with debris the water will flow through the path of least resistance, which may be under and around your front door. As for labelling your jars. If you desire both labels and a clean visual surface you can place the labels on the backs, bottoms or tops of the jars. When placing on the backs you may want to situate the labels towards the bottom so that they remain unseen from the front even when the contents of the jars are low. Another point to consider with placing labels on the jars rather than the tops or bottoms is that you may pick the jars up with damp/wet hands and want to wash the jars between fills. Unless your labels and ink are waterproof you will find yourself replacing them with every wipe down, wash or handling with damp/wet hands. It is always lovely to see and hear you and two of your favourite people sharing laughs. Keep on smiling! With gratitude and grace~XO

Can I just say: cow-pats and yoghurt! 🐄 In the past I’ve commissioned new brickwork for clients and we wanted to naturally age the brickwork, encourage subtle moss growth and generally help the bricks look like they’ve been there forever. We mixed natural yoghurt with fresh cow-pats and painted it onto brickwork and newer slate roofs. It works brilliantly!! 😀

Your boxes were attacked by the box moth caterpillar. The caterpillars start in March and decimate box in no time. The moth lays eggs around three times a year so you have to be constantly checking for signs of attack. The moths are white with a brown edge to their wings. I’d really suggest you replant with yew or an alternative as you’ll be constantly spraying them. RHS Wisley can recommend some good alternatives to Box as they’ve been trialing alternatives. Good luck, from a Box tree warrior!

re: the front door -- Would you consider taking out the little brick walls and use half-circle entry steps? The downside is visitors wouldn't have the overhead rain protection, but it would make for a welcome grand entrance.

Lydia, Re: Boxwoods, There might be several reasons that your boxwoods appear sick. Not necessarily blight. If they were trimed too close to the cold weather, the new growth may have been burned. Also underwatering as well as overwatering can cause that type of damage. If they get diagnosed with blight, be sure to never plant another boxwood in that location, because the pathogens stay in the soil and the disease will attack the newly planted boxwood.
