Totally agree seeing older items from your wardrobe would allow us to look at items in our own wardrobe differently. I have always tried to buy quality so have items in my wardrobe for years (this helps me control my weight so I don’t grow out of my ward pieces😄).

thank you for putting so much effort into this video, I bought some black pants you recommended last year but rarely had the courage to wear them until recently (I usually just wear slouchy clothes and sneakers). Thought the pants were just too chic for me. But now that I’ve worked so much on my confidence and myself in general I wore them last week and got so many compliments and a handsome guy even asked for my number (I was shocked, maybe still need to work on my confidence haha). ​​​@@bluebird-rv5to For me the greatest problem is tops. Clearly, with the skirt being so voluminous, it lends itself very well into cropped/tighter fitting/ tucked-in stuff. However, as temperatures drop it's not always the most practical solution, especially with blazers and outerwear. I'm afraid it could all turn into a huge bundle of fabric😂

My favourite trend is the khaki colour and suede fabric. As always with trends, I look at it from a distance and wonder which items I already own (cropped jacket, which indeed goes so well with wide leg trousers) and also which items I can stock up on, that are in my colour palette and style, so anything khaki and suede this autumn 😄🤘 and I bought a dark red velvet hairband which simply suits my dark autumnal colour palette and I bought an animal print hairpiece couple of years ago which now are in style 😅 Thank you for this vlog!

IDEA - styling when SHOES are the main factor. I work in a hospital, and whenever I look online at clothes, it's always no back or super high, or strappy shoes (i.e. Aritzia's effortless pants. I just resort to wearing trainers with them, which is fine). It's even harder in the winter... sometimes I have to walk outside to a section of the hospital and hate changing shoes. This may be a hard task! :)

I was wondering if Lydia has done a style guide for the autumn and was so excited when I clicked on you and there it was!!! I love most of the trends. Suede is beautiful but doesn’t seem to wear as well as leather especially in lighter colours. Cleaning suede clothing is horrendously expensive but I like the faux suede option. I always wear silver jewellery and will check out the cuffs. Bangles are great but I have narrow wrists. Thank you so much Lydia.🙂

I love both burgundy and khaki green, separately or together, so I’m happy they are trending this season, all those beautiful browns too. Wrap London has brought back a gorgeous khaki green suede miniskirt that I bought last winter (also in black). Also last winter I bought the most beautiful khaki green and burgundy silk scarf from Aspinal of London (I don’t know if they still have it). This autumn is going to be one of the best for styling ever, with these great colors and the return of classic, elegant styles. I already have a great autumn wardrobe, we just need to cooler weather here in California before I can start wearing it. Our autumn temperatures won’t begin until mid-October or even early November, but I’m excited for this change of season; autumn styling is the most fun of the year.🙂

Love your choices Lydia but will add a tip for those investing in real suede whether it be a garment or an accessory. Consider treating them with a suede protector against soil. (Usually comes in a spray can and follow instructions accordingly.)

Back in the 1970s, ultra suede fabric was all the rage. It looks and feels like suede, but it's washable! I hope it comes back! I had a belted cropped trench in a rusty brown ultra suede!

Love this video and I'm so excited about the khaki and burgundy colours. I love the looks of the bag from Anthropologie, however, I bought it in black last year and after less than two months it was ruined. The whole lining was ripped and I had not not been careful with it. I was allowed to return it based on customer act, and although it may have been a one off, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
