I’m flying to Sydney (from Perth) for 4 days next week and I should pack a carry on but not sure I can. I’m going to my niece’s wedding so that’s a complete outfit I’m only wearing once. I just went to Paris and thanks to your videos decided to visit the Polene store and bought my first Polene bag (I’m in the US where I couldn’t find their bags but apparently they have now opened a store). Anyways I loved Paris, did tons of walking and left with a beautiful bag too. Packing is tough when going with carry-on. Wish I’d seen your video before going. Thanks for the great tips!

Loved the video! However, when I have limited spaceI I try to avoid bringing 2 things that are too similar like the black wide-leg trousers + black leather trousers. They have a different shape but the color is the same and they are pretty much interchangeable 😉

Great video, Lydia! I too was just in Paris (for 10 days). I didn't take as many items as you but all very similar pieces. More sweaters than fancy blouses though. The weather was perfect and in hindsight, could have taken a couple less sweaters!

I am traveling to NYC next week for about 10 days. It will be challenging to pack a capsule wardrobe as it will be very cold. I want to take a carry-on on the plane, so packing sweaters (jumpers) and heavier clothing will be interesting. You look lovely in all your clothes. What do you do if you dirty up a blouse or pair of trousers that you plan to re-wear on a quick trip/packing lightly? I find it very hard to pack light so was interested in seeing what you packed. To me, it sounds like you had packed more outfits that you may have needed for 3 nights and 3+ days, and 4 pairs of shoes. Did you wear all of the outfits/shoes? Did that allow you to have options? Did they all fit into your carry-on? Thanks for sharing, I just want to become a better packer.

Still here in Paris. Been here a month. It's been Indian summer weather. Trench too hot. Lots of high waisted, full leg jeans. T shirts, or long sleeve blouses. Trainers, yes. Leather trousers too hot.

I find that unless you pay a lot trench coats are shower resistant not waterproof. Really waterproof coats tend to be lacking in style. Any suggestions?

To me a trench coat feels so uncomfortable. It's long, which makes it not practical to carry if you need to take It off. Or riding a bike, motor or bicycle. And what if it rains? I have a Max Mara one, from my mother, and I would never dare to ruin it under rain, also it doesn't have a hood. Not my cup of tea, it's definitely stylish but to me is just an overestimated trendy piece suitable just for a cloudy day- but not too stormy- one hour errands 🤷

Lydia,... Scrunchies and Black Bow in the hair is something for OLD woman... you are tooo young for that.. you have good idear's, but some of them are making a woman look very conservat, boring, dated, old.
