Quick tip if someone's still putting their hands down: instead of focusing on your hands, focus on kicking high with your bad leg, think about throwing it over your head and putting a lot of power into it. That's what helped me finally get my aerial :)

Nice tutorial, Lydia! Here's a tip I learned which helped me with my pop cartwheel, hopefully it helps you too. Instead of thinking "take my hands away quickly", a pop cartwheel should have a repulsion like a round-off or a handspring. By shrugging the shoulders and pushing off the floor, you'll get more airtime so it's less of taking the hands away and more using them to get more power. Just a tip, hope it helps :)

Guys please don't run across the world before your hurtle because at the point that your just running across the lawn in effort to do your arial WILL actually ware out your arial because your taking all of that power to your running NOT your arial just try up to 15 steps. Also don't do it on the trampoline and then try it on the ground. Your body will be use to the trampoline and it will be 1000 times harder that in originally was before.

i got my aerial around december of 2017, but then i injures my ankle and then couldn’t do it for a whole year. about a week ago, my friend decided that she was going to re-teach it to me. after 4 tries, i landed it and it doesn’t bug my ankle at all. the best tip she gave me is to use your arms, and to use them for tons of momentum. i think about that every time and it helps so much. good job lyd!!!!!

I have been trying my aerial for a while and one day me and my friend where practicing and all the sudden she got it. I was devastated, because I had been practicing longer than her. But I was also happy for her. Ever since then (last summer) I have been practicing after school every day and I am getting closer! Thanks for these awesome tips and hopefully I get mine soon! Yours is great keep at it! Love - Katie (your biggest fan)

You need to think of having your best power in you as you push of . Trust me this will give you confidence , but only try it if you're really close remember , every tumbler progress in different ways, time and technique . oh yeah and it would also help if you are flexible , i'm not saying you have to be , but would be best if you are

Edward Benoza how to bring my chest up, when it is next to the knee?
@edwardbenoza44158 жыл бұрын
Instead of flopping your chest waiting to land , try to keep your chest solid and in posture as soon as you push off , almost like instead of slouching , you're straight and prompt . You're not gonna lift your chest up when it's still next to your knee , but right after you push off .

No offense but I would suggest getting better at the skill before making a tutorial on how to do it. I'm sorry if I've hurt you but this is just the truth coming from a competitive level 7 gymnast😊

i really don't think you should be teaching a skill that u JUST got and still don't have the right form or landing of it. I'm sorry but this is my opinion.

I discovered sth that helped me to do an aerial! I tried to do an aerial on a grass. I was sore and tired. I couldn't run and hurdle and then i tried to do this from walking. I walked and the last two steps before the hurdle i ran ( hope you know what i mean), and then i did a low hurdle and used my arms to get me higher while doing the aerial. I shruged them up powerfully. I had realy good height. I had practised it from a high mats before, and then on the grass (with my tips) i didn't feel any difference. So, light run ( like jogging) low hurdle, and powerfully arm movement. These are my tips wich can help you. I hope you understand me (i don't speak english - let me know, if you see a mistake).
