Instruments are top-tier as always, but the vocals... Holy shit, a whole new spin onto the song. Not to mention the drum sections, that stuff is hardcore. I'd say these are the best Black Metal covers you'd find anywhere. (Also 13th like, yay.)

It is a really great cover with more traditional BM 'gollum-sounding vocals' if you get what I mean but I have to say nothing will quite get as good as M's vocals, he just sounds so angry and agonizing like he was in purgatory

It is hard to understand how difficult is to learn and play this piece of art, let alone taking the time to learn it on all the instruments - until you actually try to learn and play it. Not only the drums, which are near impossible, but also the rhythm guitar section which is weirdly timed through the song. I'm blown away my dude, first cover of EIF V that sounds complete and accurate, yet done in your own recognizable way. Hats off you fucking genius, insane performance.

Best mgla cover on youtube, how long did it take to learn the drums for this song? I think this is the reason many wont try to cover mgla haha

I think so, too. It took me about one and half to two months of intense practicing this song to get it down, but before that it took me many months to gather all the motivation I needed to actually commit to these two months of practicing. At the beginning it felt just incredibly awkward to play the ride parts and for the first month I couldn't even visualize myself playing the song at full speed one day. Only about a month after starting to practice the song, I was suddenly able to play it at 75% speed or so and that's when I felt like I could see the light at the end of the tunnel haha Oh and not to mention the time it took to figure out the pattern darkside plays for the ride part.... The drumcam live video helped a lot for this and I watched it endless times at 0.25x speed, split the album version into two mono tracks and listened to every side individually to tell apart ride from bell and so on. Truly a brain melting process (that's why the motivation needed is so important imo)

That was awesome! I think the sound is less raw than the original version but much more clear. For me, the drums win a lot from this and that is good. I think Darksides drumwork is a major part in what is making Mglas music special. The cymbals are crystal clear in your version. And, I have to say, the vocals are also top-nudge!
