Thanks for the video. I am a bit unsure what to do. End of last year I started to experience extreme itching esp at night and on legs and torso which lasted two months then kinda went. Soon as that went I started to get night sweats for a few months where id have to change my clothes and sheets and pillow also wet in cold winter. Ended up with about 4 lymph nodes in right groin that are hard and painless so finally went to the DR. They are not large, maybe 2 of them 1 inch, the other two more pointy and sharp like rocks. they do not move. She was honest when I told her I was afraid may be lymphoma and agreed. Did al the blood work on me and they came back in normal range and told me they dont biopsy groin nodes and no further tests needed for now. I am concerned. A week before my tests the night sweats had ceased and the only symptom I since have continued to have is extreme fatigue where I sleep half the day. Since last week I have now started feeling nauseous at random times and random stomach pain to the point i vomitted up my food last week Also appetite has decreased a little. Not sure if this is all related and what to do since she seemed to dismiss me after normal blood work. Any thoughts? os lymph nodes are still there and havent changed except maybe a bit firmer on the big ones. Is it normal for if you have lymphoma for symptoms to change and even stop or is it an indication that its not lymphoma since sweats and itches have stopped? also was having mild fevers a few imes a week in the day. Blood work ruled out hormonal issues since im 46. Thanks

Hi Dandelion S, we’re sorry to hear you are experiencing these symptoms, and can appreciate this may be a worrying time. The symptoms caused by lymphoma are general symptoms, and more commonly linked with other less serious conditions. It’s good to hear you have seen the doctor to get them checked out. Lymphoma is individual, and therefore symptoms can present and change in different ways; they can also come and go. We would suggest speaking to your doctor again, to talk through the changes you have mentioned, and how they are impacting you. You may find our information about symptoms helpful here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/symptoms-of-lymphoma, and if you are in the UK, and would like to chat to us, please do feel welcome to contact us lymphoma-action.org.uk/support-you/helpline-services We send our best wishes to you.

Hey um I’m 15 and don’t want to be paranoid but I think I have slow growing lymphoma. It’s been there for months now it’s very rubbery, some days it grows and some days it shrinks and the lymph node is in front of my ear but behind my jaw line and is lower down. I have no symptoms at all by the way other then the lymph node, that is the only symptom(this is specifically meant that I think I have mantel cell)

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing swollen lymph nodes. Lymph nodes help to fight infection. They can become swollen for lots of reasons (for example, having an infection such as a cold), even when they’re working as they should. Most people who have swollen lymph nodes do not have lymphoma. If you have a swollen lymph node which doesn't go away within 2-3 weeks or gets bigger, our suggestion would be to get it checked out with your GP.

Are there services where a person can send a report of a bone marrow biopsy to get a second opinion? I unfortunately have T cell and no one has a lot of information on this specific type.

We are sorry to hear you have T cell lymphoma. If, at any time, you would like another opinion about your health care, you are entitled to ask for this. Asking for a second opinion is not a legal right, but most doctors will be happy to refer you. I am linking here the information on the Macmillan Cancer Support website about getting a second opinion www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/treatment/your-treatment-options/getting-a-second-opinion . We have information on T-cell lymphomas here lymphoma-action.org.uk/types-lymphoma-non-hodgkin-lymphoma/t-cell-lymphomas. If you would like to talk any of this through please feel free to contact our helpline.

I have two swollen lymph nodes that I can easily feel. One in from of my ear (1.7 cmx 1.7 x 1.3) and one on the lower jawline close to my ear. CT scan and ultrasound show several smaller ones on both the right and left side of my face, in and around the parotid gland. Have had bloodwork, ultrasound, CT scan, ultrasound-guided needles aspiration biopsy and everything shows normal except for the swollen nodes and my white blood count (lymphocytes?) is elevated a little. I have no other symptoms. At all. Am scheduled for another biopsy on April 20th. A surgical incision one this time. Any feedback? I can't find anything at all about multiple swollen lymph glands in those places, except for possible lymphoma, but I have no symptoms that come along with that diagnosis. What else could be the reason? They've already ruled out infection, parotid gland tumor, and stones. I'm at a loss. I know this is personal, but I'm hoping someone might be able to help.

Hello Rosemary - We are sorry to hear that you have swollen lymph nodes as a result of which you have been referred for a number of tests and have a further biopsy on 20 April. I imagine it may therefore be a worrying time for you. We are not medically trained so unfortunately are unable to answer questions about your personal condition. Our suggestion would be to have a conversation with your medical team about your concerns. We do however have information on biopsies: lymphoma-action.org.uk/about-lymphoma-tests-diagnosis-and-staging/biopsy. which may be helpful. There are also a number of other ways in which we can offer information and support which are here: lymphoma-action.org.uk/support-you. Rosemary, we send you our very best wishes.

It is possible to have lymphoma anywhere in our bodies, in places like our lungs, outside of our lymphatic system, as well as in our lymph nodes. We would suggest anyone who may be concerned about any health issues, to seek medical guidance from their doctor.

@@zilumorizip There are many types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and sometimes they don't need treatment straight away, and you continue to see your team regularly for check-ups (active monitoring). If you know the type of lymphoma, you may find more information here, although please bear in mind this is based on treatments offered in the UK; lymphoma-action.org.uk/types-lymphoma/non-hodgkin-lymphoma Your medical team are the best people to answer questions on your own situation, as lymphoma can be quite individual, and so we'd encourage you to continue to ask questions, particularly if you are feeling confused. @@nategonzalez5011 We are sorry to hear of your concerns and imagine this is likely an anxious time for you. We are not medically trained and are therefore unfortunately unable to comment on your personal situation. If you are worried our suggestion would be to speak to your doctor.
