around 70 is absolutely acceptable for everyday commute in the European urban environment. you drive to work, charge it every two three days or so and stay 100% environment-friendly

Nice test! I am curious to know what are your infos about a new link&co 01 full electric that is going to be released next year.
@koenc2 жыл бұрын
If you had done the test in January or February the number of km’s you could get would have been significant less, somewhere between 40 and 50 km max with lots of highway driving . So big difference.
@thom-lov2 жыл бұрын
Biggest impact is highway, no matter what outside conditions. People expecting the WLTP range from highway driving need to take a look at how WLTP is calculated & tested. 😄

Great to see another test. Highly apreciated. Do you have any info about the fuel consumption when the batery is deplited and you drive on highway only? This is something that I really can't find and we all use a phev for longer journyes. You can even write me in private if you want. Thank you once again for this review!

It depends on the maximum speed in your country. But at speeds of around 120 to 125 km let’s say 8 litres from my personal experience. Speeds around 70 km and some stop and go, everything from 4 to 6 litres.

@@koenc Thank you Koen. Netherlands it is my country of residence so mostly 100 km speed limit but it is good that you could share something from your experience. Adding 3 persons and luggage + airco will hit the 10 liter pe 100km?
@thom-lov2 жыл бұрын
With an empty battery I averaged about 7.2'ish per 100kmh (in NL). If you start charging the battery meanwhile it will go pretty quick to 8 on a 100. If the car will be fully packed, AC on and such I expect you will sit somewhere around 7.5 to 9 on 100. Also tentative of speed and wind directions. 🙂

Thom, have u also tested the parking assistent? Do you have made a video about it?
@thom-lov2 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert-Jan, I did test it but not recorded yet. But I got to say it worked pretty well. Cars does need some clear lines to recognize the parking spot though but that's with pretty much every parking assistant obviously. But overall I'd say it works just fine! 🙂 Cheers,

Great second electric range test,thank you . Could you do the same on highway with an empty battery. Wanna Know the real consumption of gas and the fuel tank volume. I havent found thoses informations on website.

Happy to help Raphaël! With an empty battery I averaged about 7.2'ish per 100kmh (in NL). If you start charging the battery meanwhile it will go pretty quick to 8/8.5l on 100km. Thats with max speeds of 110kmh on highways. It's a heavy car and you notice that especially when the battery is empty and the 1.5l 3cyl turbo needs to do all the work.

Hi Thom, great reviews as always! Quick question - have they fixed the 1-2 second lag at around 95kmh when driving in pure mode yet, or is it still an issue?
@thom-lov2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stuart! Sadly it's still in there as this is the moment the car shifts from the 2nd to 4th gear (petrol engine) to prevent damage to the drivetrain when the petrol engine support is suddenly required. Due note this delay is only noticable from a direct or very long acceleration. Otherwise the car already shifts at a sudden moment and you will not notice it. :-)
@Heij Жыл бұрын
Hi Thom, how is the performance on the electric motor alone? I can imagine that the car in the city is a bit slower and how is the performance with the petrol engine without the electric motor?
@thom-lov Жыл бұрын
It’s still decent as the battery motor is pretty torque’y so no issues getting along in the city (which I did plenty in the 01). Engine alone has to work a bit more as it’s just a 3cyl turbo so you need to push it a bit, but in all cases the battery motor will support it even when you are charging/saving it. So overall this drivetrain is just very good 👍
